Instructions: Multiple of 2 stitches plus 3 stitches. Row 1: (WS): knit across. Row 2: (RS): Knit across. Row 3: Purl across. 
Row 4: * kR1 : skip 2 rows and insert the right needle into the purl stitch of next row, 
slip it to the left needle 
and knit two stitches together. 
K1; rep from *, kR1. 
Row 5: Knit across. 
Row 6: Knit across. Row 7: Purl across. 
Row 8: * K1, kR1; rep from *, k1. 
Repeat rows 1 - 8 for the pattern. 1 - Color combination:
Colors & rows: 5 colors: cast on – dark blue, * 1 – dark blue, 2 & 3 – white, 4 & 5 – light blue, 6 & 7 – white, 8 & 9 – cyan, 10 & 11 – white, 12 & 13 – light blue, 14 & 15 – white, 16 & 17 – dark blue, 18 & 19 – white, 20 & 21 – light blue, 22 & 23 – white, 24 & 25 – beige, 26 & 27 – white, 28 & 29 – light blue, 30 & 31 – white, 32 - dark blue *.
2 - Contrast color combination with dark background:
Colors & rows: 2 colors: cast on – white, * 1 – white, 2 & 3 – dark blue, 4 – white *. Take another color of yarn instead white to make multicolored stripes.
3 - Color combination with wide stripes:
Colors & rows: 3 colors: cast on – blue, * 1-5 – blue, 6-13 – white, 14-21 – beige, 22-24 – blue *.
4 - Color combination with small textured stripes:
Colors & rows: 5 colors: cast on – cyan, * 1-3 – cyan, 4-7 – dark cyan, 8-11 – dark rose, 12-15 – light rose, 16-19 – white, 20 – cyan*.
5 - Color combination with optic effect:
Colors & rows: 2 colors: cast on – grey, * 1-2 – pink, 3-4 – grey *.
6 - Combination with 3 colors contras:
Colors & rows: 3 color: cast on – dark cyan, *1-4 – light cyan, 5-8 – cyan, 9-12 – dark cyan *.
7 - Combination with pastel colors :
Colors & rows: 2 colors: cast on – white, *1-4 – pink, 5-8 – white *.
