How to save over 22 Euros on your train ticketIf you travel at the weekend or leave after 9am Monday to Friday, you will be able to use a 'BayernKarte'. These are special train tickets that entitle you to travel anywhere by train within Bavaria for an entire day. If you are travelling by your self it will cost 22 Euros for the day. Even better if you are travelling in a group it is only an extra 4 Euros for each additional person in your group for up to 5 people in total. This means for a group of 5 it will only cost 38 Euros to travel for one day (7.80 Euros each). You can also travel with your own children or grandchildren without paying any extra. You can only see inside Neuschwanstein if you go on a guided tour. Tickets are timed, and you must show up at Neuschwanstein at the time your tour starts. Guided tours are offered in German and English. You can also go on audio guided tours in Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Czech, Russian, Polish, Mandarin and Hungarian, Slovenian and Greek. Please be aware that Neuschwanstein is very popular with tourists, and it can be very busy, especially during peak tourist season in summer.
