水果究竟是Fruit 还是 Fruits？我恍惚了。。。

这个词大家一定都很熟悉吧？

上学的时候就学过：

What‘s your favorite fruit?

你最喜欢的水果是什么啊？

但是很多童鞋问我

fruit有复数吗？

我好像见过有人用fruits啊~

Fruit究竟是可数名词还是不可数名词呢？

Google是介么缩的~

也就是从语法上来讲，Fruit既可以作为可数名词，也可以作为不可数名词，所以它的复数形式既可以是Fruit，也可以是Fruits

那不是跟没说一样吗？

肿木会？

当然用法上是有区别的啦!

When we think of Fruit as a group collectivelyand in a non-specific way, then we tend to use the word Fruit (without S).

当我们把Fruit作为集合名词并且在非特指的情况下，我们会用Fruit

• You should eat five kinds of fruit and vegetables every day.

  你应该每天吃5种水果蔬菜

• Fruit is good for your health.

  水果对你的健康有好处

• Would you like some fruit?

  想来点儿水果吗？

• There isn't much fresh fruit available in winter.

  冬天没有很多新鲜的水果供应

If you are emphasising the different kinds of fruit, then you can use fruits.

也就是说如果你想强调各种各样的水果，这时你就可以用Fruits啦

• My three favorite fruits are bananas, grapes and strawberries.

  我最喜欢的三种水果是：香蕉，葡萄和草莓

• The supermarket has a wide selection of exotic fruits such as Papaya and Mango.

  这个超市有很多种进口水果，比如木瓜和芒果

• The juice is made from a variety of fresh fruits.

  这个果汁是由很多种水果制成的

• I love oranges and other citrus fruits, like lemons, grapefruits and cumquats.
