NOTES 
Body is worked in one piece to the underarm, then divided and fronts and back worked separately to the shoulder. Circular needles are used to accommodate the width of the piece. Shoulders are shaped with German short rows, then joined using a three-needle bind off. Sleeves are worked flat from the wrist up and seamed. Ribbed front bands are knitted in one with the body. Work with one strand of each yarn held together throughout.

NOTES 
Sweater is worked flat from the bottom up. Fronts and back are split to work separately at the underarm; increases are worked to incorporate Half-Brioche epaulets into the shoulders, and decreases worked to shape the back and the front neck. Shoulders and collar are joined using three needle bind offs. Sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round to the wrist.

NOTES 
Garment is worked in pieces from the bottom up, then seamed. Circular needles are recommended for ease of working but not required. A 1-stitch garter selvedge is worked at each edge (included in the Mock Cable stitch pattern). Selvedge stitches are included in schematic measurements but not in finished bust circumference above. Using the sloped bind off method for neckline and shoulder shaping is recommended. Neckband is picked up around neckline and worked circularly.

Yoke is knit modularly, then lower body knit seamlessly from the top down. Short rows form the arched shape. Sleeves are picked up and worked down, knit in the round.

When picking up for the body and sleeves it is important to pick up only half a stitch in from the edge to reduce bulk.

NOTES 
Shawl is worked short end to short end with gradually lengthening blocks of seed stitch framed by stockinette stitch columns and purled divider rows. At the beginning of the shawl, each block of seed stitch is four rows tall. Two rows are added each time through the chart, so that by the end of the shawl each block of seed stitch is thirty-four rows tall.

A circular needle is used to more easily accommodate the width of the shawl.
