一排根部由原木压重的钓鱼竿利用捎部悬剑的重量而弯曲形成拱廊。装置受力微妙，随风颤摇，相互碰撞；这种牵一发而动全身的脆弱平衡，正如人类面对未来敏感而危险的处境。观众可用便签写就自己的看法，并用悬剑上的磁铁将便签吸在悬剑上，形成互动。便签可每日收集，作为后期文本，可在工作室网站查阅。拱廊空间下摆放马扎，形成休息活动场所。 A row of fishing rods fixed by the tree logs and arched by the swords hangs at the fore end; and itconsequently forms an arcade. Due to the subtleness of the kinetics, the whole structure is balanced yet delicate – it moved and sounded by the wind. The delicate balance - A slight move in one partmay affect the installation as a whole - is an illustration of the uncertain status that mankind in face of the future. Audiences are encouraged to share the views and write them on thenotepapers; then attach them on the sword with magnets. The notes can be collected day after day will finally form texts, which can be available laterat our official website. Portable stools can be available at site. As a freeand open space, the installation serves as an outdoor gathering place.
Personal Statement 从表面看，这个装置可以概括为：一排根部由原木压重的钓鱼竿因捎部悬剑的重量而弯曲形成拱廊。 构建拱廊的方式通常是“抵抗重力”，而这个拱廊却一反常规“利用重力”而成形。相比于构成装置的实物，重力是看不见的，然而它却是这个世界赖以存在的基本要素，是这个力学构筑的内在逻辑和构成原理。 由长长的钓鱼竿所形成的力臂决定了这个装置的平衡极限。一端是粗重的原木，另一端却是细长的悬剑，由细细的几乎看不见的丝线连系并维持着的这种风吹草动、牵一发而动全身的脆弱平衡，正如人类面对未来敏感而危险的处境。 作为建筑师，构建空间并使人进入几乎已经成为我的本能，这也使我的装置作品区别于“视觉焦点”式的装置。进入拱廊，已经是一种互动；观众还可以在便笺上写下自己的意见，并用悬剑上用于配重的磁铁将其吸在悬剑上，取放的动作改变平衡，引起装置的起伏反应，从而形成更有现场感的互动。便签将收入后期文本，成为这个装置的延伸。 既然一只蝴蝶翅膀的振动可以引起飓风，一个人的意见也可以影响未来。未来在你手中，由你选择。 On the face of it, the installation can be described as – a row offishing rods fixed by the tree logs and arched by the swords hangs at the foreend; and it consequently forms an arcade. Generally speaking, to construct an arcade is to overcome the gravity. The arcade here, however, is an effect of the gravity; which is unconventional. Differ from the physical objects of the installation; the gravity is invisibleand intangible. However, it is one of the basic elements on which the world exists. The gravity is the inner logic of the whole mechanic structure. The long fishing rod, as the arm of force, decides the limit of thebalance. Rough tree logs at one end while slender swords at the other – abarely seen string connects the two parts. Due to the subtleness of thekinetics, the whole structure is balanced yet delicate - it is an illustrationof the uncertain status that mankind in face of the future. As an architect, building up a space to invite people in is almost my 'intuition'. This intuition distinguishes my work from general installations - a focus to attract people's attention. The arcade I built is rather a locus where people assemble and interact; it is where things happen. People enter a space as such already forms a dynamic of interaction with the installation. Audiences are encouraged to write comments on the notes and attach them with the magnets on the swords – they are the counterweights. Audiences’ action would break the balance and fluctuates the structure. The notes can be collected day after day and finally forms text as an extension ofthe installation. A butterfly can cause a hurricane by flapping her wings; likewise, an individual view can influence the future. The future is in your hands; it is your call.
