衣服：Clothes;dress *注：最通俗的用语。但dress一字亦指女性或儿童一截式的衣服。通常会话里不说成one-piece，英国也称为frock。但此字也可特指男子的正式服装。在请帖里如果注明NO dress并不是“不穿衣服”，而是指可以着便装。 一件衣服，（以复数总称）衣服：garment, 整套衣服：outfit 服装类（集合名词）：clothing 国民、阶级、时代、国家等特有或特定的服装：costume，a national costume国服 宽松的：full，a full skirt宽松的裙子 相配：match，This blouse does not match this skirt这件宽松上衣和这件裙子不相配，a dress with a matching scarf附有披肩的衣服。 流行：fashion，follow the fashion追随流行；lead the fashion引领时尚；come into fashion流行开来；be in fashion正在流行；be out of fashion过时；go out of fashion不再流行 落伍的，不流行的：outmoded 正装：full dress 正装的：full-dress，a full-dress dinner正装晚宴 普通衣服：undress（名词） 解开钮扣：unbutton，She unbuttoned her coat.她解开了大衣的钮扣。 三件式一套的女装：three-piece suit *注：男子的三件一套装也可以如此表达。虽然可以称为two-piece suit，但是在日常会话中通常表达为jacket and skirt 盛装：dress up She dressed up for the evening她晚上为外出而盛装 订制的：custom-made，亦可以说成My shoes are made to order或custom-made shoes 成衣：ready-made clothes；ready-to-wear clothes 女时装店：boutique |
