P：“大家好。我来自美国。 Hello, everyone. I’m from the USA” “美国哪里？ Where are you from in the USA?” “旧金山，在美国的西海岸. San Francisco, on the west coast of the USA.” “你喜欢伦敦吗？ Do you like London?” “我非常喜欢伦敦。 I like it very much.” “你最喜欢那个明星. Who’s your favorite pop star.” “我没有最喜欢的明星哎。 I haven’t got a favorite pop star.” “你会说几种语言？ What languages do you speak?” “我会说英语和西班牙语。 I speak English and Spanish.” 大家都很喜欢波特小姐。 Everybody likes Miss Potter. 再过一周就是美国的感恩节了。 Next week is Thanksgiving Day in the USA. 学生们决定做一个南瓜派，给波特小姐一个惊喜。 The students decide to make a pumpkin pie to surprise Miss Potter. 放学后，大家到索菲的家里。 After school, the children went to Sophie’s house. “好啦，用料我们都有啦。 All right, we have all the ingredients. 有糖，香料，鸡蛋，面粉，黄油，牛奶。 Sugar, spices, eggs, flour, butter, milk.” “哎别忘了这个大南瓜，我从我爷爷的院子里摘的。 Don’t forget this big pumpkin. It’s from my grandpa’s garden.” “别把厨房搞得一团糟哦，孩子们。 Don’t make a mess, children.” 索菲的妈妈说着离开了厨房。 Sophie’s mum said before she left them. 孩子们开始动手啦。 The children got started. 汤姆负责念食谱。 Tom read the recipe. 索菲和爱丽丝做面皮。 Sophie and Alice made the pastry. 尤多拉和丽丽把南瓜削皮。 Eduardo and Lily peeled the pumpkin. 所有人一起来搅拌南瓜馅儿。 Everybody helped to make the pie filling. “好啦，南瓜派进烤箱啦。 Ok, now the pie is in the oven.” “我们来收拾厨房吧。 Let’s clean the kitchen.” 等索菲的妈妈回到厨房的时候，一切都干干净净的。 When Sophie’s mum came in, everything is clean 而且。。。 And … “南瓜派看起来好好吃哦。 The pie looks great!” 第二天早上，在学校。 The next morning, at school. “波特小姐，您可以来我们教室一下吗？ Miss Potter. Can you come into our classroom please?” 波特小姐走进了教室。 Miss Potter went into the room. （孩子们）“感恩节快乐！ Happy Thanksgiving!” “哦！太惊喜了。 Oh, what a surprise! 墙上还有感恩节的装饰 You put decorations on the wall. 还有这个南瓜派，是你们做的吗？ And there’s pumpkin pie, did you make it? 我爱你们。 Oh, I love you kids.” “还有哦，波特小姐，我们挂了一些旧金山的照片在墙上。 And there’s more, Miss Potter. We put up some photos of San Francisco on the wall. 这样你就不会想家啦。 So you won’t be homesick.” “这真是太棒了。 This is incredible. 是的。这幅照片是金门大桥, 这是我最喜欢的地方。 Yes, this is the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s my favorite place. 感恩节是我最喜欢的节日. Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year. 今年我不能和家人庆祝了，但是我很高兴在伦敦和你们一起度过。 I can’t spend it with family this year, but I’m very happy to celebrate it in London with you all! 谢谢你们！ Thank you so much. 好啦，现在我们该做什么呢？ OK, now what shall we do?” （孩子们）“该吃南瓜派啦！ Let’s have the pumpkin pie!”
