Lucy:  Is it all right for me to come in now, Mr. Sutcliffe?

露西：萨克利夫先生，我现在可以进来吗？

Manager:  Well... I'm pretty busy, but... all right, come in. What can I do for you?

经理：嗯…我很忙，不过…好吧，进来吧。有事吗？

Lucy :   Do you mind if I sit down?

露西：您介意我坐下来吗？

Manager:  Not at all. Take a seat. Now, what can I do for you?

经理：完全不介意。坐吧。现在说吧，有什么事？

Lucy: I want to leave the department. Do you think I could put in for a transfer?

露西：我想离开这个部门。您认为我能申请调动吗？

Manager:  Yes, but why should you want to do that?

经理：可以，不过你为什么要那样做呢？

Lucy:  Do you mind if I speak frankly?

露西：我实话实说您介意吗？

Manager:  Not at all. Go ahead.

Lucy:  Well, you see, I don't like the office. I don't like the staff, and I'm afraid you and I don't get on. So may I put in for a transfer?
