第111讲 rather than和instead of的异同 【逃出许愿城英汉教学群】 在上一讲【第110 讲】中，我们讲过instead的意思和用法。 在这一讲中，我们提到的rather than实际上跟instead of用法是相似的。 第一部分： 相同点……他们的意思相差不大 放句首：不是---而是--- 放句中：而不是 Rather than the young man, I stared at the old lady. 【主语I前移】我不盯着那个年轻人，而是盯着老太太。 She was putting things into her bag rather than the basket. 她正在把东西放进她的袋子而不是篮子 第二部分： 不同点……instead of 接动词的时候，动词加ing，而rather than 可以跟动词ing结构，也可以跟动词原形。 Instead of shouting to warn her, I moved to her secretly. 【主语I前移】我不是大喊大叫地警告她，而是偷偷地向她移动。 Rather than catch her when she was stealing things, I whispered to her ,“I am a policeman!” 我对她耳语道“我是警察”，而不是给她抓现行。 She got angry suddenly rather than being shocked, saying, ”I am the market owner’s mother!” 她突然勃然大怒而不是被吓得屁滚尿流，扬言说：“老娘是老板的妈妈！” “Mother, please take out the things!” I am kidding instead of getting angry. “老妈啊，请你把东西拿出来吧！” The young man came near to us, pointing to me ,“Sir, she is my mother, instead of yours. I hear that some policemen do not care whether our goods is stolen, so I ask my mother to do that ， which I did not agree with…you are a good policeman! I am sorry! I am the owner of the market. Thank you……” 那个年轻人向我们靠近，指着我，“先生啊，她是我妈妈，而不是你的。我听说，有些警察是不管我们的货物是否被盗的，所以我妈妈这样做了,这原本我是不同意的。对不起啊。我就是这个市场的老板。谢谢你啊……” I read his ID card and license and went away. 我读了他的身份证和营业执照，就离开了。 However, later, the policeman，I knew that, another person rather than the young man was the market owner! 然而，不久之后，那个警察，就是在下，知道了，是另一个人而不是那个年轻人是这个市场的老板！ That day, the real owner was being reproached by his own mother in a corner! 那天，那个真正的老板正被她自己的老娘在一个角落中训斥呢！ A family in peace is a family in prosperity 家和万事兴啊！ |
