If I see something I have never eaten

 before want to eat it.
If I see something I have never drunk

 before I want to drink it.
I want to learn how to cook it or mix it.

If I see an interesting book, 

I buy it, I read it.

 

如果我看到某样我从来未吃过的食物，

或是我看到某种从未喝过的饮料，

我会想去知道该如何烹饪，

如何去调制这种饮料。

如果我发现一本有意思的书，

我会把它买下来，去读它。

There are many places in the world 
I want to see them all. 
There are many people in the world
I want to know them all

世界上有那么多的地方，

我想走遍各个角落。

世界上有那么多的人，

我想认识每一个人。

but,

They speak different languages. 
have different religions and philosophies, 
eat different food, 
sing different songs, 
wear different cloths.

但是,

他们说着不同的语言，

有着不同的信仰和哲学，

吃着不同的食物，

唱着不一样的曲调，

穿着不同风格的衣服。

Knowing interesting people means 
I have to meet some boring people 
and even some bad people
along the way.

在认识有趣的人的路上，

我一定也会遇到一些无聊的人，

甚至是一些坏人。

Going different places means 
I have to spend money and take time,
sometimes I am caught in the rain,
or snow
suffer cold, 

and suffer heat,
have to wait in a long line, 
have to ride in crowded busses.
get sick.
get cheated,
get very tired,
have to sleep in strange and 

sometimes dirty or loud places. 

去不同的地方意味着，

我必须要为此付上金钱，

和时间的代价。

有时我会被困在雨里，

或是雪中，

甚至要受冻，忍受酷暑，

或是排很长的队，

抑或是在拥挤的

车流中穿过。

生病，

被骗，

疲倦，

或是在陌生，嘈杂

肮脏的地方休息。

but,

I Meet children and, play games with them.
Hear their stories, calm their fears, 
and try to teach them about

 the interesting world we live in
and make them happy

但是，一路上我会遇到孩子。

我停下来和他们玩耍，

听他们讲故事。

有时侯会安抚他们，

试着告诉他们我们所居住的

这个有意思的世界是什么样子的，

并且使他们感到快乐。

I meet young women and young men,
hear their stories and 
try to teach them some of the things

 I have learned.

有时我会遇到青年男女们。

我也会停下来，

听他们说自己的故事，

告诉他们我所知道的一些事。

 

I meet old women and old men
hear their stories, 
and try to learn about things in the world 

I have not seen.

有时，我也会遇到一些老人。

我听他们讲故事，

并且试着去理解我不知道的世界，

 

I meet animals and try to 

make friends with them 

and understand their life

 

有时会遇到一些动物。

我会试着和它们做朋友，

去理解它们的生活。

I try to understand 

how all things are made,
Whether it is a computer made by man 

orA galaxy made by whatever.

I want to understand how they work

我试着去理解万物是怎样被造的，

无论是由人造出的电脑，

或是未解的银河系，

我想去理解它们是怎样运转的。

 

All in all the key is, 
do as much as you can 

while you can and  learn

 as much as you can 

about the world we live in.

 

总之，关键在于，

在你还可为的时候做你可以做的，

并且尽可能地去

了解我们所生活的世界。

We have little time before

 it hits its final mark. 
We must not waste this time.

很快它就会到达终点，

『時间之箭已射（發）出』 

 汉字讲解：  時 、射、發

 

Time, 時, was measured by the motion of the suns’ shadow on a sundial 日晷 .土 from 㞢 from 𡳿 is from a foot moving forward. 寸 is a hand and a thumb measuring the distance moved by the sun on the sundial.

射, which means shoot, the 身 is actually from a pictograph of a bow and arrow. 

發 which also means shoot is from two feet 止 moving forward, indicating the arrow from the bow 弓 which is shot by the hand  殳 which indicates the action of the hand.

 Time ,『時』最初是由太阳在日晷上的运动测量得出的。部件『土』 起源于『㞢』，最初为『』字，其字形就像是一个向前行的脚的样子。『寸』是一只手和一只手指在测量日晷上太阳移动的距离。

 『射』，意思是射出，部件『身』字实际上像是一个箭和一个弓的形象。

 『發』也指的是发出，其部件『止』即指脚，有向前移动的意思，表示箭     从弓中射出。

      

『弓』是手中射箭的工具。『殳shū』则表示手持东西的动作。
