Keith Wilson was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1971. He studied at Methodist College, Belfast, the University of Ulster and at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, gaining an Honours Degree and a further Postgraduate Diploma in 1995. He returned to Ireland in 1995. In 1999 he was invited by the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in County Mayo to take up a six week painting residency and, having completed this, since 2000 he has been living in and working from a rural home studio in North Mayo. His most recent work has been inspired by the garden of his home and its immediate surroundings.
