In the beginning, God made the heavens and the earth.
All was dark and empty. So God said,“Let there be light,”and there was light.
He called the light“day”and the darkness“night.”And that was the first day.
开始，上帝造出了天空和大地。
那时到处是黑乎乎，空洞洞的。于是，上帝说：“要有光，”于是就有了光。
他把有光的时候称为“白天”，把黑暗的时候称为“黑夜”。第一天就这么过去了。
Then God said,”let there be bodies of water and above them a sky.”And it was so. That was the second day.
上帝又说：“应该有一片片水域，在水域的上方是天空。”于是就有了水域和天空。第二天就这么过去了。
On the third day, God said, “let dry ground appear.”
He called the dry ground“land”and the waters he called“seas.”And God saw that it was good. He said,“Let plants and trees grow up all over the land. Give them seeds to make more plants and trees.” And it was so.
On the fourth day, God made two great lights: the larger one to rule the day and the smaller one to rule the night. And He also made the stars. He set them all in the sky to give light to the earth both day and night. The larger one we call “the Sun”, the smaller one “the Moon”.
Then God said, “Let the waters be filled with fish and let there be birds with wings to fly above the earth.”And that was the fifth day.
然后上帝说，“水里要到处有鱼，大地之上，到处飞着有翅膀的鸟儿。第五天就这么过去了。
On the sixth day, God made animals to live on the land. He made sheep and cattle. He made creatures that move along the ground. He made wild animals of every size and shape.
