◎搁浅

    “搁浅”的第一个意思是“船只陷入浅滩或进入浅水，不能行驶”。英语译为to take/touch the ground, to ge/go/run aground。例如：

1.我们的船在浅水中/沙洲上搁浅了，不能行驶。

Our ship took the ground.ran aground in shallow water/on a sandbank and couldn't 

move.

    “搁浅”的第二个意思是“大型鱼类进入水浅的地方，不能游动”。英语译为to become/get stranded。例如：

2.不久前，四百多条鲸沿新西兰的一个遥远海滩搁浅。

Not long ago, more than 400 whales became stranded along a remote beach in New 

Zealand.

    “搁浅”的第三个意思是“比喻事情遇到障碍，不能进行”。英语译为to come to a 

deadlock, to be held up。例如：

3.这两规国家的贸易谈判搁浅了。

The trade negotiation between these two countries have come to a deadlock.

4.他告诉我一个坏消息，说：“事情搁浅了。”
