12. 考研与就业

Directions:

Study the following table carefully and write an essay. In the essay you should

1. describe the table,

2. analyze the reasons respectively, and

3. give your comments.

审题及提纲

分析图表可知，毕业生毕业后面临着多种选择，其中最主要的两种选择是考研和就业。选择考研的人数占40.85%，选择就业的人数占42.03%。行文时，考生可先描述图表的数据，揭示文章主题。然后分别分析毕业生选择就业和考研的原因。最后就此现象，提出个人的观点。

第一段：描述图表，分析数据。首先对图表的数据进行分析总结，由此提炼出数据所揭示的主要信息。

第二段：拓展延伸，分析原因。通过过渡句阐明本段的主旨，接着从两到三个方面分析毕业生选择就业或考研的原因，考生可结合具体事例进行论述，从而增强文章的说服力。

第三段：总结评论，发表个人观点。针对毕业生的选择，发表个人观点。

The table above clearly presents that, confronted a variety of options, 42.03% of graduates take the choice of hunting a job, while 40.85% of them choose to enter the postgraduate school for further study. Actually, to hunt a job or to attend graduate school，that is a decision made by all graduates in the cross of their life.

As for this issue, different people may hold radically different views. Some argue that hunting a job is advantageous to both their parents and themselves. Economically, abandonment of postgraduate study can relieve the financial burden of their parents. Besides, employers at present prefer to hire students with the most relevant experience, but not necessarily the one with higher degree. To some extent, working and social experience is worth more than school education. Other people, however, believe that pursuing a postgraduate study outweighs finding a job in almost every aspect. They can narrow and define their career objectives during postgraduate studies, which empower them with a greater focus and a better understanding of their field. Due to this, they will climb the corporate ladder more quickly and earn a higher salary when starting the work.

As far as I’m concerned, there is no absolute better choice between hunting a job and further studies, as it should depend on individual personalities, family background and specialty characteristics. Most importantly, once having made a decision, one should work hard to achieve his or her goal.

上图清晰地显示，面对毕业后的多种选择，42.03%的毕业生选择参加工作，而40.85%的毕业生选择读研继续深造。事实上，就业还是考研，这是所有毕业生在人生的十字路口上都要面临的一个抉择。

有关这个争论，见仁见智。一些人认为就业于父母和自己都有益。从经济层面来看，放弃读研可以减轻父母的经济负担。此外，雇佣者也更倾向于雇佣有相关经验的毕业生，而不一定会雇佣高学历者。从某种程度而言，就业和社会经验比学校教育更为重要。然而，另一些人认为读研在任何方面都优于就业。读研能让他们精确地定位自己的事业目标，更为专注深入地理解他们所学领域的知识。正因如此，当他们开始工作时，便能获得更快的晋升和赚取更高的薪金。

就我而言，就业与考研二者之间没有绝对更好的选择，这因每个人的个人特征、家庭背景与专业特点而定。更为重要的是，一旦做出选择，我们就应尽全力实现它。
