11月小作文回顾

雅思小作文主要是考察考生对学术图表的描述能力,以刚刚过去的11月中国大陆雅思考场来看,小作文出现了以下类型:

11月份共有4场雅思考试,出现了三种题型。从以往的考情来看,小作文考试题型覆盖较广,包括线图,柱状图和流程图等;建议学生在平时雅思学习过程中全面备考,平衡练习。

其中动态小作文的需要着重对以下三方面的数据的审题和表达方式的积累:1. 如何描述数字;2.如何对比数字;3.如何描述趋势和变化;流程图需要掌握对步骤和进程的表达。

11月大作文考情回顾

如果说雅思作文难,那么大作文就是难中之难,有什么方法破解呢?我们先来看下11月份考过的话题有哪些:

11月2日

大作文:Some people believe that it is a good idea to continue to work at their old age. Do you agree or disagree?

11月4日

大作文:Some people say that government should spend money on measures to save languages that are used by few speakers, while others believe that it is a waste of financial resources. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

11月11日

大作文:Online shopping is replacing shopping in stores. Is it a positive or negative development?

11月25日

大作文:As major cities around the world are growing fast and many problems occur. What are the problems that young people live in cities are caused by continued growth? What solutions do you suggest?

大作文的话题和题型属于常规考题范围。很多考生反映在考场上大作文写作时间较紧,建议如下:

a.10分钟审题和写大纲(大纲即主体段的论述内容和句间逻辑关系;很多同学因为忽略这一步,会导致Task response和Coherence&cohesion这两项失分严重);

b.5分钟以内写好开头段;

c.20分钟完成主体段;

d.最后5分钟写结论段,检查语法和词汇表达的准确性。

雅思口语也是很多考生头疼的一部分,在口语考试中,话题卡详细地说明了考生要描述的话题内容,如果抽到的话题是已经准备过或者思考过,无疑可以减轻考试压力,增强考生自信心。以下是雅思口语考试后半年Cue Card真题回顾。

建议考生在备考口语考试时,在熟悉机经的基础上,加强话题关联性的总结。例如Describe a positive experience that you had as a teenager; Describe a group of people who made you smile;Describe a car journey;Describe a place you visited as a child等题目可以关联在一起准备。

Describe a positive experience that you had as a teenager. You should say

- what the positive experience was

- where you were

- who you were with

- and explain why you found the experience positive.

雅思考官Simon范文如下:

I’m going to describe the first time I visited England’s capital city, London, on a school trip when I was a teenager. I had never been to London before, and it was great to share that experience with my school friends.

The positive experience wasn’t confined to one particular place in London. As far as I remember, I enjoyed the whole trip, from the coach journey to the visits to various tourist attractions. We got off the coach near the Houses of Parliament, and so one of my first memories was seeing the famous ‘Big Ben’ clock tower. We also visited the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square.

As I said earlier, it was a school trip, and I think there were around thirty of us, including two teachers. I was with a group of close friends, which made the experience more enjoyable.

What really struck me about London was that it was historic but modern and thriving at the same time. It seemed to me to be a lively, fashionable and cosmopolitan place. Coming from a relatively small town, the experience made me keen to visit more capital cities in the future.
