2017年11月27日至12月1日，3GPP RAN小组工作会于里诺召开，大家可能都已经知道，在这次会议的结束意味着5G标准的第一个版本的所有技术讨论已经完成，然而并不是所有人都知道的是，目前的5G标准想要最终冻结还要等三个月，这三个月等的是谁呢？它就是38.331。 什么是38.331？ 38.331协议描述了用户和无线接入网之间以及的无线资源管理协议。 除此以外，还包括如下内容： 1. 进行5G基站间切换时，在5G基站间传输的无线侧相关信息； 2. 进行不同接入技术间切换时，在基站与其他接入技术的节点间传输的无线侧相关信息； 3. 在4G/5G双联接场景下，进行5G与4G基站间切换时，在5G基站与4G基站间传输的无线侧相关信息； 为什么38.331如此重要？ 38.331如此重要的原因就在于它的第六章“Protocol data units, formats and parameters (tabular & ASN.1)”，简称ASN.1,标准中读作'ey es en one'。ASN.1描述了RRC消息的内容和语法格式。基站和用户需要按照ASN.1来生成和理解RRC消息，可以说ASN.1定义了基站和用户间的通用语言。 331之歌 38.331如此重要，本次RAN2在一百次会议上正式推出了331之歌，歌词完美反映了RAN2标准工作者对于331的喜爱之情。 歌词： Timers and counters and lack of equations, configurations for all sorts occasions, signal strength values a measurement brings these are a few of my favorite things.
