◆angry adj.

1. 表示对某人生气，一般用介词 with (有时也用 at)。如：

The teacher got angry with [at] me. 老师对我生气了。

有的词书认为：用 with 表示心中感到生气，而用 at 则表示怒气流露于外表，但总的说来此时还是用 with 的场合较多。但值得注意的是，不要按汉语意思，用介词 to。如：

她对他生气了。

正：She was angry with him.

误：She was angry to him.

2. 表示对某事生气，根据情况可用介词at, about, over 等。如：

What is he angry about? 他为什么生气?

He was angry at what you said. 他对你说的话很生气。

He was angry at being delayed (about the delay). 他因被耽搁(因耽搁)而生气。

People are angry over rising prices. 人们对上涨的价格感到愤怒。

注：有美国英语有时可用 with。如：

She was angry with (=at) his present. 她对他的礼物生气。

3. 表示生气的原因，一般用介词 for。如：

I am angry with you for your conduct. 你的行为使我生气。

He was angry with himself for having made such a foolish

mistake. 他为自己犯了这样一件愚蠢的错误而怨恨自己。

◆announce v.

表示“宣布”、“通告”等，通常为及物动词，其后可接名词或that-从句作宾语，但不接双宾语；要表示向某人宣布，用介词 to。如：

他向他们宣布了他的决定。

正：He announced his decision to them.

正：He announced to them his decision.

误：He announced them his decision.

◆another pron. & adj.

1. another 由 an＋ other 构成，但总是写成一个词，不能写成an other；其后一般只接单数可数名词，不接复数名词或不可数名词。如：

正: another boy (day) 另外一个男孩(一天)

误: another boys (days, news, advice)

2. 在通常情况下，another 后不能接复数名词或不可数名词，但是若复数名词之前有 few 或数词修饰，或不可数名词之前有 piece of 之类的单位词时等，则可以与 another 连用。如：

In another two weeks it’ll be finished. 再过两个星期就可做完了。

I have another good piece of news for you. 我还有一条好消息要告诉你。

3. another 表示“另外一个”，通常是泛指(而非特指)另外一个或指不确定数目的另外一个。如：

Give me another (one). 另外给我一个。

He finished his cake and asked for another (one). 他吃光了他那块蛋糕后又要了一块。

注：若是特指两者中的另一个，则用 the other。如：

Shut the other eye, please. 请把另一只眼睛也闭上。

◆answer v. & n.

1. 用作动词，除表示“回答”、“答复”外，还可表示“接 (电话)”或对门铃等声响作出反应等(常与 telephone, door, bell, door-bell 等连用)。如：

Who answered the telephone? 谁接的电话?

A little girl answered the door. 一个小女孩应声去开门。

Nobody answered my call for help. 没有人理会我的呼救。

2. 用作名词，表示“回答”、“答复”、“答案”等，注意以下各例中 answer 后接的介词是 to 而不是 of：

What was the answer to question 4? 问题四是怎么答的?

Have you had an answer to your letter? 你的信有回音没有?

用于短语 in answer to(作为回应)。如：

He came at once in answer to my phone call. 他一接到我的电话就来了。
