9.6  零冠词现象（下）

5. 与by连用的交通工具前，也不需要冠词。

 

比如：

by bus 乘公交车；

by car 坐汽车；

by bike 骑自行车；

by train 坐火车；

by ship 乘船

 

BUT，有些短语里面就需要冠词了，没有为什么，英语有时候就是没规律，妖怪啊：

take a bus 乘公交；

come in a boat 乘船来；

on the train 坐火车；

on a bicycle 骑自行车

 

6.  三个特别的用法：

■ a.系动词turn（转变）后如果跟了一个表职业的名词，那么一般就不用冠词了。比如：

Upon graduating, my cousin turned lawyer in a company.

我堂弟一毕业就在一家公司做律师。

 

■ b. man泛指人类时候，也不用冠词。比如：

Man can conquer nature.

人类能征服自然。

 

■ c.“A and/by/to A”结构中，不需要冠词。比如：
