大家都知道做饭，做菜要用cook，

那么做沙拉用cook行不行呢？

谁做的沙拉？

Who cooked this salad ? 

Who made this salad ?

cook = 用火加热来烹饪

可以cook rice/pasta/sausages（做米饭/意面/香肠）

沙拉是冷盘，不用加热，所以用make。

你外套破了

Your coat is broken. 

Your coat is torn.

broken = 坏掉了（break的过去分词）

一般指机器不运作、物品断裂开和骨折

The floor was covered in broken glass.

地上都是碎玻璃。

torn = (布和纸) 磨损，破洞（tear的过去分词）

My jacket caught on a nail and tore.

我的夹克被钉子挂破了。

It was still bright outside.

It was still light outside.

bright = 明亮的，通透的（光线充足）

The weather was bright and sunny.

天气明媚晴朗。

light = 光线，光亮（强调有光）

We could see light coming from under the door.

我们能看到光从门缝透过来。

Little children are difficult to understand that.

It is difficult for children to understand that.

it is 形容词 for sb/sth = 对sb/sth来说……

It's very important for students to listen to teachers carefully.

对于学生来说上课认真听老师讲课是非常重要的。
