写作根本不是个“事情”~

       好久没有聊写作，最近改作文改到血槽空空，来写个帖子自我安慰。言归正传，今天来说一个很简单的词：THING，中文：“事情”。

A：晚上要不要去看电影？B：不去了，有事情。
A：最近怎么样啊？B：不忙，事情不多。
    可能是受到中文的影响，童鞋们写作文时很喜欢用thing这个词来论述：“玩游戏是一件对小孩子有害的事情。”（emmm...好像没毛病）

    来看下面几个句子:

1. Admittedly, sometimes watching the movie rather than appreciating the original book is anexciting thing for many people.'是件令人兴奋的事情'

2. Attending a college can help you get a higher level of knowledge input (or know to do more things).'知道更多事情'

3. My parents trusted me, and I thought I should do the right things to keep our trust.“应该做正确的事情”

4. Because when we are studying the history, we must remember many things like the time line, names of empires and emperors.“需要记住很多事情”

是不是十分亲切？BUT，这样的写作是imprecise的，缺少具体的细节。这些句子的表达都过于笼统，作为议论文正文的论述是缺少细节，因而也就缺少说服力。都需要添加相应的细节信息（concrete details），将thing所指的具体化：

1. Admittedly, sometimes watching the movie rather than appreciating the original book is an exciting experiencething for many people.

2. Attending a college can help you get a higher level of knowledge input (or acquire more skillsknow to do more things).

3. My parents trusted me, and I thought I should never spend money lavishly do the right things to keep our trust.

4. Because when we are studying the history, we must remember variety of detailsmany things like the time line, names of empires and emperors.

除了thing，我们同样避免使用的不限代词或名词，还有下面这些词：
