当然，这只是我们今天内容的基础，相对于TOEFL和IELTS的转化方法，相信大家更关心的是美国各大高校对这两种语言成绩的要求，毕竟这样才能更直观的明白到底该考哪一种。（以下所有讯息均来自各大学官网研究生院，如果不准，全怪学校！）

  

那小编就从以下3个大类n个小类来给大家梳理一下美国TOP50高校的语言成绩要求，大家看仔细了，别错过了自己心仪的学校哦~

一. 只要托福成绩的学校：

1. Stanford University

• 要求：TOEFL 100+

二. 偏向于雅思的学校：

前50的学校里，没有不接受TOEFL成绩的学校（仅看研究生院的要求）。只有MIT比较特别吧。

官网有明确说明更Prefer雅思成绩，有某些专业更是表明只接受雅思成绩。另外研究生院对托福成绩的最低要求是90分，但各院系可能会有更高的要求，需要依据具体项目查询。

Massachusetts Institute of Technology：

Qualifying applicants must take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The IELTS exam is preferred at MIT. A minimum TOEFL Internet-based score of 90 (577 paper-based) is required by the Institute; however, some departments require higher scores. The minimum IELTS score required is determined by the department. 

三. 雅思和托福都接受的学校：

如果你的梦校在以上两个分类里，那你也不用纠结了，因为你只有一个option了。哦不对！你还是有两个option的，因为你可以选择两个都考呀。

下面呢，我们就说下雅思和托福都接受的学校。虽然这些学校两种成绩都接受，但是每个学校的要求也不尽相同。如果说文章开头的TOEFL和雅思分数兑换表是相对公平的，那其实学校在设立分数的时候还是有自己的偏好的：有的对TOEFL的要求低与对雅思的要求，有的对TOEFL的要求高于对雅思的要求，那接下来我们就对照着分数表来看下学校的要求吧：

1. 对TOEFL的要求低与对雅思的要求的学校：

考TOEFL更容易达到要求

TOEFL90~100 - IELTS7.5

标准分数转化：TOEFL102-109 相当于IELTS 7.5

而以下的学校要求IELTS7.5，但是对TOEFL的要求均小于102

• Washington University in St. Louis 

  要求：TOEFL90 + or IELTS7.5+

• University of Rochester 

  要求：TOEFL100+ or IELTS7.5+

• Georgetown University

而以下的学校要求IELTS7.0，但是对TOEFL的要求均小于94

而以下大学要求IELTS7.0，但是TOEFL的要求高于101

标准分数转化：TOEFL79-93 相当于IELTS 6.5

而哥大要求IELTS6.5，但是TOEFL的要求高于93

  要求：TOEFL 99 + or IELTS 6.5+

TOEFL 80 – IELTS 6.0

c.

标准分数转化：TOEFL60-78 相当于IELTS 6.0

而佛罗里达大学要求IELTS 6.0，但是TOEFL的要求高于78

University of Virginia(TOEFL90 — IELTS？):

A score of at least 90 on the TOEFL iBT is preferred. It is rare that we offer admission to an applicant who scored less than 22 on the Speaking section of TOEFL. Similar statements can be made regarding IELTS. Scores can be sent electronically to UVa at institution code B875.

无明确最低分数要求的学校：

a). Princeton University：

The Graduate School does not have a minimum TOEFL or IELTS score requirement. If you are offered admission and accept our offer and have scored below a 28 on the Speaking sub-section of the TOEFL iBT or below an 8.0 on the Speaking sub-section of the IELTS you will be required to take an English placement test at the start of the fall term. Students who do not pass the test will be required to enroll in English Language Program classes.

The Woodrow Wilson School requires a minimum score of 100 IBT for the TOEFL and 7.0 for the IELTS.

普林斯顿大学托福雅思都能接收，但是除了Woodrow Wilson School其他都没有给总分的最低要求，但是能申普林的相信大家心里也都有数的吧。

b). Yale University：

The Graduate School does not have, nor does it publish standardized test score minimum requirements.      

It is possible that some departments or programs may have minimum score levels. 

Please review our Programs and Departments website. 

耶鲁大学表示我们研究生院没有录取分数限制，具体分数可以查询不同院系要求。

c). California Institute of Technology：

There is no minimum requirement for the English proficiency exams. 

加州理工同没有最低要求，但是还是那句话，大家心里也都是有数的。
