Describe a time you had to save money for something. You should say: What you bought/did? Why you had to save money? How long had you save it? How you felt about it? Recently, I bought a beautiful pair of shoes which is a pair of limited version Air Jorden, jointly released by Off White and Nike. It's the shoes wanted by sneaker-heads all around the world. It sounds cool, isn't it. However, it cost me a fortune.
As for why I had to save money, well it's quite obvious. I'm poor. I didn't have the money for it. The price is staggering. It's aournd 12000. I had tried to negotiate the price with the salesperson to see if there's any chance that I could cut it down a little bit. However, it didn't work.
I had to save like 8000 yuan for it. That's really a big number for me since I could barely make ends meet. Well, I calculated how much money I needed to spare every month and how long it would take. It turned out that at least it would take me half year to have it.
Saving money is hard. Seriously, I won't do that again. During that period of time, I had to be very careful with every penny I spent. I used to spend a lot of money taking care of myself. But since I had to save money, I just stayed at home, away from anything that would cost me a dime. But when you want something so badly, you wouldn't care what you would sacrifice for it. Anyway, when I put on my Air jorden, I was on the top of the world. |
