Tonight I just had a great dinner with some
of my friends and we had dinner in a hotel called Panguqixing, so it sounds
like it’s a really good hotel. I think that if you are in Beijing, you must’ve
heard about this hotel. We had some seafood buffet. Buffet means that you can
take whatever you want, you know, as much as you want. I will be very busy in
Beijing. Of course I will do EMF as well as usual, and also give you classes
live. And also at the same time I have to meet with different departments and
talk about the next move, what are we going to present. There will be a lot
interesting, interaction and also the live class. So I have to meet with
different departments and also we are going to have many dinners, because
having dinner is a really good way to show your appreciations. We Chinese
people like to discuss some important matters over the table. Tomorrow, I am
going to Haidianqu, we are going to have a seminar, like a language teaching
seminar. Thursday afternoon, I am going to the middle school affiliated to
People’s University. They are in the Junior 2, around maybe 15 years old.
Pretty young, but they don’t think so. They think they are adults, they think
that they know everything, so in our opinion they might be a little bit
over-reactive, I would say, kind of rebellious, and too eager to draw everybody’s
attention, have a bigger goal and always want to be a over-achiever. Those are
all the things that they are going to encounter, things that they have to
encounter on their way to maturity. So I think by sharing my story, they might
take my story as an example, as a touchstone, so they can re-calibrate. And
then they have to switch, or do a little bit modification, adjustment. So that’s
what I am going to do this week. And I really enjoy the opportunity to
communicate with the young people, the next generation, because I think, being
a teacher, your obligation, our responsibility is to pass your experience and
your wisdom, pass them on to the next generation. Alright, just wait and see. I
always hoped that I would have some time to just do some sightseeing, or just
go around, or just smell the flowers. But every time, I was just running out of
time. So I don’t know, if I can manage some time this time. But I will try. So I
would like to visit the Forbidden City again. I went to the Forbidden City with
my girlfriend in my college and it’s been almost 10 years, more than 10 years. I
haven’t been there again, so I wanna visit there again alone, really take some
moment. I want to take some time to really experience the history of Forbidden
City all alone. I think that’s really a necessary some time for you to have a
trip just by yourself, because it’s an interaction between you and nature. You
can focus on all the views, focus on all the histories, all the cultures.
Unit 43 Talking About Dressing I think it maybe a little over-rated.
It sounds a little bit like cliché. The way you dress actually tells people who
you are. I like to wear those clothes and pants with a lot of pocket so I can
have a lot of space for me to store things, because usually when I go out, I
have a lot of things I have to take. 2 phones, 3 numbers, and I have earphones,
keys, a lot of other stuff. So I need to have a lot of pockets. I am a practical
person.
He or she wants to be different. He
wants to get everybody’s attention. But I just like to stay low.
