前言： 避免汉式英语的一个好方法就是用句型套，我结合各种图书上的句型荟萃重新整理出比较实用的50个(因此本文为各种整理，非真正意义上的原创）。我已经写了很多关于写作等方法的文章，而英语学习中一定的积累也是必须的。 当然我非常欢迎读者能继续提供自己拿手的好句型，欢迎直接文末留言，谢谢。 一、It is句型 1．It is universally acknowledged that＋句子（人人皆知……） 例如 A It is universally acknowledged that education，especially higher education，is a prerequisite for societal wellbeing and individual success． B It is a truth universally acknowledged，that a single man in possession of a good fortune，must be in want of a wife．（Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen） 2．It is evident that...（很明显） 例如 It is evident that certain people，from radically diverse backgrounds and with radically diverse interests，are quite prepared to acknowledge the validity of this claim． 3．It is（high）time that＋主语＋谓语（使用虚拟语气，以过去式表示）（（早）该是……的时候了） 例如 It is time that we evaluated the roles that technology plays in our lives from a more balanced perspective．该是我们从更加公正的角度来评价科技在我们的生活中所发挥的作用的时候了。 4．It is not unusual for sb．to do（……很寻常） 例如 It is not unusual for us to imagine that others are going to be as critical of us as we are of ourselves． 二、表语从句 5．The upside of...is that＋句子（……的优点是……） 例如 The upside of children's doing some household chores is that such a demand makes them appreciate more fully the value of hard work．孩子干一些家务活儿的一个优点是这种要求可以让他们更充分地理解勤奋工作的价值。 6．The reason why＋句子＋is that＋句子（……的原因是……） 例如 The reason why people are living longer now is that they are more aware of the importance and need to take better care of themselves and their health． 比较句型 7．The more...，the more...（越/愈……，越/愈……） 同义结构：形容词或副词的比较级（～er）＋主语＋谓语，the＋形容词或副词的比较级（～er）＋主语＋谓语（越/愈……，越/愈……） 例如 A The more students are encouraged to speak in class，the more confident they will become． B The older the student gets，the more able he or she is to exercise discipline，wisely plan his or her time and make good decisions and choices． 8．...outweigh（分量重于，超过） 例如 The advantages of living in a modern apartment outweigh those of living in a traditional house． 三、否定句型 9．Never should＋主语＋动词（……绝对不应该……） 例如 Never should we lose sight of the benefits of education in basic science courses．我们绝对不能忽略学习基础科学课程的好处。 类似结构：by no means（绝对不会……） 例如 The number of people using public transportation after it is free is by no means guaranteed． 10．spare no effort to＋动词原形（不遗余力地） 例如 Government should spare no effort to make available to all students free education up to secondary school．政府应该不遗余力地让所有学生都能接受免费的中小学教育。 四、There be句型 11．There is no denying that＋主语＋谓语…（不可否认……） 例如 There is no denying that increasing the price of oil will benefit energy conservation．不可否认，提高油价将有利于能源节约。 12．There is no doubt that＋句子（毫无疑问……） 例如 There is no doubt that the evidence for human-induced climate change is irrefutable． 13．There is no panacea for...（……没有万灵药） 例如 There is no panacea for alleviation of traffic jam． 14．There is no substitute for...（……无可取代） 例如 There is no substitute for knowledge gained from experience． 五、倒装句 15．形容词＋as＋主语＋be（尽管……），主句 例如 Adorable as pets are，it is by no means appropriate for urban residents to treat them as family members and allocate too much time and money to keeping them．虽然宠物很可爱，但市民待它们如家人并投入大量时间和金钱养它们，是毫不妥当的。 16．So＋形容词＋be＋主语＋that＋句子（如此……以至于……） 例如 So plentiful are choices afforded by technology that no one can avoid being overwhelmed by them．技术给人提供的选择太多，以至于每个人都难免不知所措。 17．Only...will/can（只有……才会／才能） 例如 A Only then will the feedback，whether positive or negative，be useful． B Only by seeking a balance between these needs can we hope to accomplish our goal． 注意：倒装句或强调句目的都是一样的，你也可以用It is...that... 六、表示原因与现象的句型 18．Thanks to=Owing to=Due to...（因为……），主句 例如 Thanks to iPad，Apple becomes world's biggest maker of computers． 19．have an impact on something（对……有影响） 例如 In effect，individuals and groups can have an impact on the political and social order． 20．bring about=generate=breed= induce（带来，造成） 例如 Curriculum development made a difference；resource-based learning brought about a total change of attitude and need． 21．justify（证明……有道理） 例如 Ms．Steinberg justified the College Board's decision to release a photo database to colleges，despite ACT Inc．'s decision to refrain． 22． be attributed to（被归因于……） 例如 Only one in 12 instances of poor quality can be attributed to insufficient effort by the practitioner． 同学们熟悉的还有：account for 23．stem from=arise from=spring from（源于） 例如 Such disagreements may stem from a variety of causes． 24．given（考虑到，由于） 例如 Given the importance that people place on higher education，it is hardly surprising that they are equally concerned that everyone who is qualified and motivated has the opportunity to attend a college or university． 25．be likely to（有可能……） 例如 A The candidate is likely to lose in the coming election． B It is likely that the candidate will lose in the coming election． 26．be typical（=representative）of（代表……，是……的典型代表） 27．daily/common occurrence（常见现象，家常便饭） 例如 Once a rarity in Athens，robberies are virtually a daily occurrence． 七、表示“一致”与“不一致”的的句型 28 a．be in accordance with（与……一致） 相关结构：accord with（与……一致） b．be in agreement with（与……一致） 相关结构：agree with（与……一致） c．be in line with（与……一致） 相关结构：align with（与……一致） 29．meet（=satisfy=accommodate=gratify）needs（满足需求） 30．equate A with B（将A等同于B） 例如 Traditionally，people tend to equate technology with expense—the idea that if something is electronically controlled or operated using a computer system，then it will be more costly． 31．clash with...= be inconsistent with...（与……相冲突） 例如 The determination of American leaders to play the key role in shaping the new world order was to clash with the equally determined insistence of the Russians that their interests were of importance over a large part of the globe． 32 a．distinguish/differentiate between A and B（区分A与B） b．distinguish/differentiate A from B（区分A与B） 八、表示“有利”与“有害”的句型 33．do good to（对……有益），do harm to（对……有害） 34．armed with=equipped with（拥有） 例如 A Armed with this new knowledge，scientists may be better able to design new catalysts，better fuels and more efficient drugs． B Only children raised in such an environment are equipped with the set of skills essential to success in the real world．只有在这种环境中成长的孩子们拥有在现实世界中取得成功所必需的那套技能。 35．benefit from=profit from（从……中获益） 36．be of benefit to（对……有益，一般以物为主语） 37．have access to（能用上……；能从……中获益） 38．be available（可用上，一般以物为主语） 39．enable（=allow）sb．to do...（使能够，允许） 例如 Students' tuition enables the government to relieve the strain on its limited budget．学生交的学费有助于减轻政府的财政负担。 40．empower（授权，使能够） 例如 A They got down to the business of voting to accept the resignations，elect Jobs to the board，and empower Woolard and Jobs to find new board members．（Steve Jobs） B The downside of Jobs's approach was that his desire to delight the user led him to resist empowering the user．（Steve Jobs） 41．It pays to do sth．（……是值得的） 例如 It pays to create conditions in which men and women compete on an equal footing．创造一个让男女平等竞争的环境是值得的。 42．be exposed to（接触）；be vulnerable to（易受攻击），be susceptible to（易受影响） 43．pose a major threat（=challenge=difficulties）to（给……造成巨大威胁/挑战/困难） 例如 Addiction to technologies poses a great threat to one's physical and mental health． 44．be plagued with（受……困扰） 九、表示“建议”与“要求”的句型 45．It is necessary（=advisable=crucial=essential）that...（必须／应该，从句中的谓语动词常用原形表示虚拟语气） 同义结构：Something is of great importance．/Something is indispensable/essential． 46．be supposed to do（应该） 47．if properly handled（假如处理得当） 注意：作插入语最好了，此种妙处只可意会。 例如 A history of long and effortless success can be a dreadful handicap，but，if properly handled，it may become a driving force． 48．require；call for；necessitate（要求） 例如 Different circumstances may call for a different approach． 49．be committed to＋名词（致力于） 例如 Through the leadership of management and under the guidance of the board of directors，we are committed to delivering long-term shareholder value and continue to be open to constructive dialogue with all of our shareholders． 50．Those who＋动词（……的人……） 例如 Those who think otherwise contend that for a small group of students，professional training might be the way to go since well-developed skills，all other factors being equal，can be the difference between having a job and not．那些持反对意见的人主张……。
