Syndrome  of fire and heat of the liver and gallbladder
肝膽火熱證

Main symptoms and signs:
主要證候

Diffuse red swelling and severer pain of the external auditory canal,
外耳道瀰漫性紅腫、疼痛較劇，

or with pyorrhea, feverish body, dysphoria, thirst with inclination to drink, dry stool,
或有流膿，身熱，煩躁，口渴喜飲，大便偏干，

red tongue with yellowish fur,
舌紅，苔黃

taut and rapid pulse.
脈弦數

Therapeutic  methods：
治法：

Clearing away heat from the liver and gallbladder, purging fire and relieving swelling.
清洩肝膽，瀉火消腫

Prescription
方藥：

The prescription used is the modified Longdan Xiegan Decoction (Decoction of Gentiana for Purging the Liver Fire )
龍膽洩肝湯加減

Longdancao 3g  龙胆草3克
Huangqin 10g  黄芩10克
Shanzhizi  10g  山栀子10克
Zexie 10g  泽泻10克
Shengdihuang 15g 生地黄15克
Danggui  10g  当归10克
Xiagucao 10g  夏枯草10克
Gancao  3g  甘草3克
