But the defending champions can now expect a dogfight. Stephen Curry, the face of the franchise and probably the greatest shooter in NBA history, is out with an injury. He is not expected to return until the second round of the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have emerged as a dominant force. Led by two superstar guards in James Harden and Chris Paul, they have rained downthree-pointers on opponents all season en route to a league-best 65-17 record. Whoever emerges from the Western Conference will probably claim the title, as whichever club triumphs in the East—even LeBron James’s Cleveland Cavaliers—is likely to be outmatched. But if Mr Curry’s ankle heals, a potential Rockets-Warriors semi-final series could be one for the ages. 各位朋友们,如果你需要看经济学人的合集,你可以点击文章下方的小广告图,直达链接。 关注我们的公共号,可以获取最新最及时的经济学人更新。 |
