HAT:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on (52) 62-68-72-74 (82-84) stitches on double pointed needles size 4.5 mm / US 7 with Air. Knit (14) 19-22-22-23 (26-27), A.1 (= (23) 23-23-27-27 (29-29) stitches) and finish by knitting (15) 20-23-23-24 (27-28). Continue pattern like this. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, work in stockinette stitch over all stitches. When piece measures (10) 10-11-11-12 (12-12) cm/ (4") 4"-4½"-4½"-4 3/4" (4 3/4"-4 3/4"), decrease (4) 6-8-2-4 (2-4) stitches evenly = (48) 56-60-70-70 (80-80) stitches.
Now insert (8) 8-10-10-10 (10-10) markers in piece, (6) 7-6-7-7 (8-8) stitches apart. On next round decrease 1 stitch after every marker by knitting the first 2 stitches after marker together (= (8) 8-10-10-10 (10-10) stitches decreased). Decrease like this every other round (4) 4-4-5-5 (6-6) times in total = (16) 24-20-20-20 (20-20) stitches. On next round work all stitches together 2 by 2 = (8) 12-10-10-10 (10-10) stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. (14) 14-15-16-17 (18-18) cm/ (5½") 5½"-6"-6 1/4"-6 3/4" (7"-7") from top and down measured at the shortest part.
