【货物】洗舱、装卸货的注意事项——Pig Iron

今天说一下装生铁!

生铁是什么?

生铁就是pig iron。

(至于为什么英文这样叫,小编查了一下,懒得翻译直接贴来给大家看吧。

The term “pig iron” can be traced back to the method of casting blast furnace iron into moulds arranged in sand beds such that they could be fed from a common runner. The group of moulds resembled a litter of suckling pigs; therefore, the ingots became known as “pigs” and the runner as the “sow”.)

通常在堆场里面是这样的↓

IMSBC Code里面是这样描述的:

Description

Foundry pig iron is cast in 28 grades into 20 kg pigs. In a random heap, pig iron occupies approximately 50% of the apparent volume.

此外,常见的生铁主要分为三种

·BASIC PIG IRON 3.5-4.5% carbon, <1.5% silicon,="" 0.5-1.0%="" manganese,=""><0.05% sulphur,=""><0.12%>


·HAEMATITE PIG IRON 3.5-4.5% carbon, 1.5-3.5% silicon, 0.5-1.0% manganese, <0.05% sulphur,=""><0.12%>


·NODULAR PIG IRON 3.5-4.5% carbon, <0.05% manganese,=""><0.05% sulphur,=""><0.05%>

装货前对洗舱的 要求

仅常规对大舱的要求即可,不像装粮食、铝粉一样严格。

装货

写了这么多货物,生铁是少数需要在装货时候特别注意的货种之一。为什么?


看了下图就明白了。生铁就是铁块,铁疙瘩啊!

“铁疙瘩”的特性要求装生铁时候要格外小心,否则铁块砸在舱底,一砸一个坑啊;而且生铁很沉,还要注意不能超过舱底的强度。所以装生铁,soft loading条款必不可少(敲黑板!船东一定要注意加上这一条!)。


先看一个保护条款——


Pig Iron Protective Clause

a) Charterers undertake to use holds as few as possible provided vessel’s stability and strength permit.

b) Charterers undertake that loading of first layer of pig iron not to be released until touching tank top and not to be dumped/dropped during loading so as to provide a cushion flooring for the balance of cargo to Master’s reasonable satisfaction.

c) Prior to loading, Charterers undertake to supply onboard, at their expense, dunnage and/or other materials to provide safe protection from damage by loading pig iron as reasonably requested by Master.

d) If any dispute arises between Charterers/Master Owners/Charterers should appoint an independent surveyor jointly and his decision should be final.

e) In case during en-route to discharging port, cargo was found to have shifted which may affect the seaworthiness or safety of the vessel, Owners have right to call at nearest port for necessary cargo trim at Charterers time and expense. Vessel shall not be placed off-hire therefrom.


Notwithstanding whether agreed herein, Charterers to remain ultimately responsible for any damage caused to tank tops and/or vessel resulting from loading pig iron.


实践中一般都是把生铁装斗里,然后用吊把斗放到舱底,如图:

如果是刚刚开始装第一层货,这就要求要把装货的斗车放得很低,低到舱底,再把货倒出来。而不是在半空中就把货物倒出来。如果半空倒出来,“铁疙瘩”很可能会对舱底造成损害。

卸货和卸货后的洗舱

卸货同装货一样,也要“soft loading”,只不过通常卸货都是卸在驳船或者卡车上。同样要注意“铁疙瘩”对驳船和卡车的损害(当然这个主要是装卸公司更需要注意的)。

至于卸货后的洗舱,卸完生铁基本就剩下泥土了,做常规洗舱就好。
