“呜~~呜~~咔嚓咔嚓~~”  我们在国外旅行时，除了经常乘坐的公交、地铁、出租车等市内交通工具，在跨城或跨省的旅行中，火车也是乘坐频率很高、且充满着文艺情调的交通工具。
在火车上，伴着轮组与轨道摩擦而发出有节奏地声响，我们既能一路欣赏如画般的沿途美景、放松心情；也能在一段不短的行程中，与萍水相逢的同行者展开一次“不问过往、不问将来”的会心交流。

2、想知道到目的地是否有直达快车，可以问： Is there any express train to New York? 请问到纽约有直达快车吗？
3、想知道特定车次几点发车，可以问： What time does …… leave every day? 例如： What time does the No.8 train leave every day? 8次列车每天几点发车？
4、到售票处买票，可以跟售票员说 Please give me…… to……. 例如： Please give me a one-way ticket to London. 请给我一张去伦敦的单程票。 或者直接说： Two first class tickets on express at ten, please. 两张10点的头等快车票。
5、需要托运行李，可以说： Can I check my luggage through? Can I check my baggage all the way to my destination? 我可以把行李托运到目的地吗？ 6、询问站台在哪，可以问站台乘务员： Which platform is for ……? Where is the ……platform? 例如： Which platform is for the No.4 train? 请问4次列车停在哪个站台？
7、上车后，看到有空位置而旁边又有人，可以先问下对方： Is this seat vacant? 这个座位有人坐吗？
8、想知道在停靠站停留多久，可以问： How long does this train stay at the station? 火车在这站停留多久？ How long is the layover in Turin?
9、如果你是一个人乘坐火车，中途需要去洗手间，想请身边的人帮你保留这个座位，可以说： Will you please keep this seat for me while I am away? 我走开时请你帮我保留这个座位好吗？
10、想知道车上是否有餐车、或询问餐车在哪，可以问： Is there a dining car on the train? 请问这列车上有餐厅吗？ Which car is the dining car?
11、需要别人帮你把行李放到行李架上，或是从行李架上拿下来，可以这样说： Could you please help me put my luggage on the rack，please? 可以请你帮我把行李放到上面的行李架上吗？ Could you please help me take my luggage down from the luggage rack，please? 可以请你帮我把行李从行李架上拿下来吗？
12、想知道火车什么时候到站，可以问： What time is the train due in……? Do you know when the train is due in ……？ 例如： What time is the train due in Scotland? 这班火车什么时候到苏格兰？ Do you know when the train is due in Manchester? 你知道车什么时候到曼城吗？
13、如果到点了火车还没来，可以询问乘务员： When does the train get in?  情景小剧场 A 乘客 B 乘务人员 Dialogue A
B: It's about five hours. A: Could I have two standard class soft berth tickets to Edinburgh for tomorrow, please. B: Ok, It comes to £500 including service fee. 好的，加上手续费一共500磅。 A: OK. Can I check my luggage through? 好的，可以托运行李吗？ B: Sure. It is charged by weight，you can take a check on the day of the train. 当然，行李按重量收费，你可以在乘车当天办理。 A: I see. Thanks a lot. 好的，谢谢。
