Approximate position of the Moon

This page provides a QBASIC program for calculating a roughposition for the Moon, given your location and the date and time (UT). The program listing below gives the geocentric longitudeand latitude of the Moon's centre, plus the geocentric andtopocentric right ascension and declination, as well as the lunarparallax. The program is a 'test bed' for a programmablecalculator program - the aim is to spend less time in front ofcomputer screens!
