Jim is a middle school student. He has a happy family and lives a happy life. His neighbour, however, is a poor man. He has no parents, no wife and no children. He lives alone. At the age of fourteen, the man lost both his legs in a terrible accident and became disabled. Because of this, everything in his life changed completely. You can imagine what the boy who couldn’t walk had to face! But the boy didn’t give up his hope of life. He was so clever and had many interests. So he tried to learn to repair bikes by himself. Now he makes a life with his own hands. At the same time, he is a very helpful man. When the neighbours’ bikes are broken, they are willing to ask him for help. What the man did moved Jim very much. Jim volunteered to help the special neighbour when he was only a little boy. He helped clean the house and carry water for him. He sang and told stories to him.
