Small talk 是我们与不是很熟悉的人或者陌生人之间的一种谈话形式。  Background & Family 背景&家庭 Where did you grow up? 你在哪儿长大的？ Tips You also can talk about the differences between your cities and keep the conversation going. 可以聊一些你们的家乡都有什么不同之处。对话就可以进行下去了。 Do you still have family there? 老家还有家人吗？ Do you have any brothers or sisters? 你有兄弟姐妹吗？ How did you meet your wife? 你和你的太太是怎么认识的？ How many kids do you have? 你有几个孩子？ How old are your children? 你的孩子几岁？  What’s your dog’s name? 你的小狗叫什么名字？ How old is your dog? 你的小狗几岁了？ Occupation 职业 What’s keeping you busy these days? 最近在忙什么？ How did you get involved with that? 你是怎么参与其中的呢？ How did you get started in that? 你是怎么开始的呢？ How long have you been in your field? 你在这个领域做了多久了？ What’s the best part of your job? 你觉得你的工作最棒的地方是什么？  Tips In western culture, it’s considered impolite or a little rude to talk about money or salary. 在西方文化中，问别人的工资，问别人能赚多少钱是不礼貌的。所以在与外国朋友闲聊时，不要问 How much money do you make? Recreation 娱乐 Do you play any sports? 你做什么运动吗？ I like watching soccer. 我喜欢看足球比赛。 Have you seen any good movies recently or any good TV shows? 你最近有看什么好看的电影或者电视节目吗？ Did you hear Taylor Swift’s new song? 你有听 Taylor Swift 的新歌吗？ Tips When talk about hobbies and interests, try to find similarities with the other person. 在谈论兴趣爱好的时候，试着去发现你和他人的共同点。  Dreams Any plans for the summer? 这个夏天有什么打算吗？ Are you going anywhere this summer? 这个夏天，打算去哪儿玩吗？ If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? 如果你可以去世界上的任何地方，你想要去哪里？ Have you been to Iceland before? 你以前有去过冰岛吗？  Tips Be a good listener. 做一个好的倾听者。在闲聊时，也要认真听别人说了什么。 Keep it light and easy. 谈论的话题轻松简单一些。 Talk about things people are comfortable with. 谈论让别人舒服，愉快的话题。 Don’t ask any private question. 不要问涉及到别人隐私的问题。 |
