As 作为副词
As 作为副词 一般有三种含义 ： 1 表示“等同于”或同等的级别、数量、程度 （equally; to the degree, amount or extent）: He doesn't have as many apples. 他没有同样多的苹果（数量）。The nightingales were singing and the child sang as sweetly. 这孩子唱歌就像夜莺鸣叫一样甜美。 2 表示“例如”、“比如说”（for instance）：Such animals as squirrls and foxes have bushy tails. 这类动物例如松鼠和狐狸长着毛茸茸的大尾巴。There are large mammals, as the lion or bear. 这儿有大型哺乳动物，比如说狮子、熊。 3 以某种特定的形式或关系来进行考虑（when considered in a specified form or relation）: The first term has this definition as distinguished from the second one. 第一个术语如此定义是要与第二个术语进行区别。 在一个形容词前面使用as时, 是要表示对某人或某物的看法或描写。如They regarded manual work as degrading. 他们认为体力活是降低身分的。His teachers described him as brilliant. 老师们都说他头脑聪明。注意：不能在形容词的比较级后面使用as! 不可以说成是“The trees are taller as the church”, 而应该说“The trees are taller than the church.” 树林比教堂高一些。又如，那时她的年龄比我大得多，应该说成 She was much older than me. 同样，在一个副词前面使用as时，也只能使用副词的原级，不能使用比较级。The prime minister described the visit as highly successful. 首相说这次访问相当成功。Do it as seldom as possible. 这东西尽量少碰。 表示倍数或其他程度的副词作为修饰词时，要放在as的前面。Your garden is twice as large as his. 你的花园有他家花园的两倍大。等于: Your garden is twice the size of his. 又如，This street is three times as broad as that one. 这条街是那条街的三倍宽。等于说This street is three times the width of that one. |
