 2009年拉萨“西藏自然与科学博物馆”这一标志性设计是由山鼎设计和AS共同参与竞争双赢的结果。由醒目的白色外墙包裹着33000㎡的博物馆，与远处的雪山交相辉映，吸引着世人的目光。传统的藏族符号被运用到外墙网格状的方形窗户中，与白色外墙相得益彰，这是无可估量的地方文化标识，同时也是建筑和工程的挑战。 施工图由山鼎设计完成。虽然建筑的形状和形式在很大程度上已经被决定了，但当时内部方案设计却并非如此，同时它要求与结构相结合。首选灵活性的长跨度结构，且研究了先前的案例。 受路易斯·康的服务与被服务空间的理念启发，将结构和配套服务与可用展览区域结合在一起，构成了博物馆建筑楼层的典型布局。使得群众的流通变得高效而有趣。 2004年，对雷姆·库哈斯设计的西雅图中央图书馆的结构和幕墙系统进行了研究。类似于图书馆，博物馆的展览空间和通道非常宽阔。两个项目折叠状的外墙结构设计也惊人的相似。 正如幕墙和天窗的设计，符号元素的运用增加了博物馆设计的难度。设计细节研究由沈阳远大铝业工程有限公司协助完成。 施工图设计是一个挑战。公正地说，与Cendes内部的建筑师，结构工程师和暖通工程师团队合作，我们尽了最大的协调努力为项目提供了最佳的解决方案，并及时交付。 尽管我离开了，但是我由衷感谢山鼎设计的Andrew Chan，他为我提供了照片，并有机会回忆起2011年与前同事们在博物馆设计中度过的欢乐时光。 The iconic design of the Tibet Nature and Science Museum in Lhasa in 2009 was a design competition that won jointly by Cendes and AS. The striking white outer skin that folds and wraps around the museum of 33,000 m2 in rapport and draws the eyes to the distance snowcapped mountain. The traditional Tibetan symbols are incorporated into the gridded square windows that knitted into the outer white skin is an immeasurable cultural identity with the place as well as an architectural and engineering challenge for construction. The working drawing was produced at Cendes. While the shape and form of the building was much decided the program for the interior was less so which also at the same time required to be integrated with the structure. The long span structure for flexibility was preferred and precedent cases were looked into. Louis Kahn’s idea of Served and Servant space in integrating structure and supporting services with usable areas for exhibition set the architectural layout of the typical floor of the museum. Circulation for the masses was both to be efficient and interesting to experience. The 2004 Rem Koolhaas’s Seattle Central Library of its structural and curtain wall system were studied. Similarly like the library the museum’s exhibition space and circulation were vast. And not the least the structural integrity of a folded skin for the exterior of the two designs were identical. The museum design is complicated by the overlay of symbol elements otherwise a design of curtain wall and skylight. The design details were studied assisted by Shenyang Yuanda Aluminum Industry Engineering Co. Ltd. The working drawing was a challenge by the design. It is fair to say with an in house team of architects, structural / HAVC engineers at Cendes obtained the best coordinated effort in bringing the best solution and timely delivered the project. Here despite I have left I must thank Andrew Chan of Cendes who provided me the photos and the opportunity for me to recall the fond involvement working with former colleagues in the making of the museum in 2011.
