阿卡索每日英语 / 每日为你精选好文好诗 / First Love 初恋 - BY JOHN CLARE 作者：约翰·克莱尔 Great Poem First Love 初恋 BY JOHN CLARE 初恋 约翰·克莱尔 I ne’er was struck before that hour 那一刻才被爱情击撞 With love so sudden and so sweet, 被爱情的迅猛和温柔 Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower 她绚丽如花的脸庞 And stole my heart away complete. 把我的心儿偷走 My face turned pale as deadly pale, 我的面容濒死苍白 My legs refused to walk away, 我的双腿拒绝移步 And when she looked, 当她的目光问询 what could I ail? 我的烦恼自何来 My life and all seemed turned to clay. 我和周遭化为泥土 And then my blood rushed to my face 随着热血涌上我的脸颊 And took my eyesight quite away, 蒙蔽着我的眼睛 The trees and bushes round the place 身旁树木失光华 Seemed midnight at noonday. 午时披着夜的魅影 I could not see a single thing, 我的双眼不能看见 Words from my eyes did start— 我的双眼娓娓诉说 They spoke as chords do from the string, 句句如和声回旋 And blood burnt round my heart. 热血围着我心燃灼 Are flowers the winter’s choice? 鲜花可否是冬天的期许？ Is love’s bed always snow? 爱情的苗床可否总是覆雪？ She seemed to hear my silent voice, 她仿佛在听我无声的心语， Not love's appeals to know. 却未听到爱情的欢悦。 I never saw so sweet a face 我再未见那般甜蜜的脸庞 As that I stood before. 虽曾面面相对 My heart has left its dwelling-place 我的心也离居远航 And can return no more. 依然遥遥无归  / 作者介绍/ 约翰·克莱尔 (1793～1864) 英国19世纪 浪漫主义时期诗人 他的诗歌创作 侧重于对自然的描写 克莱尔发表过四部诗集 其中第一部 《乡村生活和自然景色的描写》 获得巨大轰动 因为这部诗集 他获得了 “北安普顿的诗人”的美誉 (Northamptonshire Poet) 其作品以植物、动物、 家乡以及爱情 等主题见长 21世纪伊始 由于生态批评的发展 克莱尔再次走入 批评家和读者的视线  |
