居庸关长城是中国万里长城的重要组成部分。这里山峦重叠,溪水长流,植被繁茂,景色怡人。清代“燕京八景”中“居庸叠翠”的誉称,流传至今。由于居庸关长城地形险要,古时就被称为“天下第一雄关”。 居庸关除建有南北券城、城楼、敌台、水门等功能各异的配套建筑,构成完整严密的军事防御体系以外,城内还有元代所建过街塔塔基,名为“云台”,是现存元代石雕艺术的精美杰作。“居庸关—云台”于1961年公布为全国重点文物保护单位。1987年,中国万里长城经联合国教科文组织世界遗产委员会通过,列入《世界遗产》名录。2001年,居庸关长城被国家旅游局评定为“AAAA级旅游区”。 Juyongguan Great Wall is theimportant section of China’s 10-thousand-li Great Wall .The slopes on bothsides of Juyongguan Pass are carpeted by a dense growth of foliage. The ravineis flanked by mountains with brook flowing all year around. It used to be oneof the Eight Famous Scenic Spots in Beijing in Qing dynasty. Strategicallylocated and difficult to access, Juyongguan Great Wall was named “the mostmagnificent pass in the world” in ancient times. The auxiliary architecturewith different function—southern and northern arched citadels towel, water gate, together withthe pass, form a complete and tight military defensive system. Entering thepass, you will see an platform called “Cloud Terrace”, the terrace ofCrossing-Street Dagoba in Yuan dynasty. It’s an exquisite masterpiece of Yuan’sstone carving art. In 1961 “Juyongguan Pass—Cloud Terrace” wereannounced as national key protective cultural relics. In 1987 China’s10-thousand-li Great Wall was listed as Word Heritage by Word HeritageCommittee of UNESC. In 2001 Juyongguan Great Wall was evaluated “AAAA TourismArea” by National Tourism Bureau. 元代建筑--云台 |
