criteria of choosing a boyfriend or girlfriend

​think this question is rather personal, that is to say, the standards should vary from person to person. From my individual perspective, a boyfriend/girlfriend should be responsible, reliable and very serious about commitments. He/she should give his/her all out in a relationship and know what is good for the forming of a healthy relationship, including taking it into next phase, resolving issues, sometimes ending it even, regardless of how harsh that would be. Though, indubitably, it's theoretically impossible to list all the so-called "standards", I genuinely hope my anwer will do help.
