周宣成，湖南省永州市道县人，自幼喜欢观察生活中的花草树木并拿笔将他们描绘出来。1973年进入初中后开始正规地学习美术，一直到高中，后在当地县文化馆的安排下，在蚣坝村美术组学习美术。期间村里开荒变梯田，周宣成创作了一幅画——《我们队里喂了“机”》，来记录村里购买了抽水机种田一事，这幅作品还被入选刊登在地区文化部门印刷的书籍上。

Zhou Xuancheng, a native of Daoxian County, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, liked to observe the flowers, plants and trees in life and describe them with a pen. After entering junior high school in 1973, he began to study art formally until senior high school, and then under the arrangement of local cultural museum, he studied art in the art group of Gongba village. During this period, the village developed wasteland and terraced field，Zhou Xuancheng created a painting -"our village fed machines" to record the purchase of water pumps for farming. The painting was also selected and published in the books printed by the regional culture department.

后被县文化部门调到宁远县培训三个月，江永县培训四个月学习美术创作，由地区文化局的蒋贤哲任美术讲师，陈蔬琼任素描老师，毕业时周宣成创作了一幅《七品芝麻官》。后去零陵、长沙的湖南师大进修美术专业。

After that, he was transferred to Ningyuan County for three months, and Jiangyong County for four months to study art creation. Jiang Xianzhe from the Regional Cultural Bureau was the art lecturer, and Chen Shuqiong was the sketch teacher. When he graduated, he created the painting "seven grade sesame official". Then, he went to Lingling and Hunan Normal University to study art.

1980年考入道县电影公司，任放映员兼美工，并取得了三级放映证，期间周宣成利用空隙时间学习电影广告画。1990年，受改革开放大潮影响，下海创业，在蚣坝镇开了一家独资企业加油站（现一直经营)，期间也不曾停止过美术创作。2015年进入道县老年大学学习文化课、国画课，并系统学习中国画。

In 1980, he was admitted to Daoxian film company, worked as a projectionist and art designer, and obtained a three-level projection certificate. During that time, Zhou Xuancheng used his spare time to study film advertising painting. In 1990, influenced by the trend of reform and opening up, he started his own business, and opened a gas station of a wholly-owned enterprise in the town of Gongba (which has been operated till now), during which he never stopped his art creation. In 2015, he entered Daoxian University for the elderly to systematically study culture and Chinese painting.

自2016年以来，周宣成多次参加县、市、省等单位举办的画展和展览，并多次获奖：2016年参加武汉举办的第八届中国重阳节画展，2017年，作品入选在广州举办的第九届中国重阳节画展，并被评为银奖，作品收录在《当代书画家名录》一书。

Since 2016, Zhou Xuancheng has participated in many exhibitions and won many awards. In 2016, he participated in the 8th Chinese Chongyang Festival Exhibition held in Wuhan, and in 2017, his works were selected into the 9th Chinese Chongyang Festival Exhibition held in Guangzhou, and won the silver award, his works were included in the "directory of contemporary calligraphers and painters".

2017年被聘任为中国国画院，山水画研究院院长，入编画家。荣获“大国名匠艺术家”荣誉称号和勋章。2018年，在翰墨风华全国诗书画大展赛中荣获二等奖，北京老年诗书画邀请赛中荣获一等奖。2019年，国画作品荣获首届新文人之冠美术家精品展“金奖”，并被新文人之冠美术馆收藏。曾获得“中国百强画家”“中国艺术财富人物”“书画名家百米长卷主创书画家”“当代中国艺术界最具有代表性画家”等荣誉称号。

In 2017, he was appointed as the president of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting, the Research Institute of Landscape Painting. He was awarded the honorary title and medal of "great power artist". In 2018, he won the second prize in the national Hanmo Fenghua Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and the first prize in the Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Invitational Competition for the Senior in Beijing. In 2019, his painting works won the "Gold Award" of the first fine art exhibition of new literati, and were collected by the Art Museum of New Literati. He has won the title of "China's top 100 painters", "Chinese art wealth figures", "master painter of 100-meter-long-scroll", "the most representative painter in Contemporary Chinese", etc.

现任北京当代友好书画院副院长，北京书画研究会会员等。曾参加“中国艺术家走进泰国、马来西亚文化艺术交流展”，作品被泰国、马来西亚永久性收藏，并荣获中泰友好交流大使荣誉证书。

At present, he is the vice president of Beijing Contemporary Friendship Painting and Calligraphy Institute, a member of Beijing Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, etc. He has participated in "Chinese artists entering Thailand and malaysia cultural and art exchange exhibition", his works have been collected permanently by Thailand and Malaysia, and he won the honorary certificate of ambassador of China Thailand friendly exchange.
