在英语中我们最熟悉的是user，

而这句话中我们用到的是

例：

有线电视公司已开展大型促销活动以增加用户数。

你可以感受到subscriber比user这个词表达的更精准，user只是使用这个功能的人，而subscriber还包含了你主动去与提供方达成协议付费或者操作使用的涵义。

在YouTube上订阅某个频道视频的人也叫作subscriber。
