How to board the train at Frankfurt Airport

 小玮看世界 2020-01-08

To help the friends who haven't arrived at Frankfurt am Main International Airport (also Frankfurt Airport) before to get on the train smoothly (through the s-train and train are not the same but for German they are almost the same)  . Norman would like to show how to get the trains in the Frankfurt Airport. There are two stations in the Frankfurt Airport, one is short distance trains (Frankfurt Airport regional station) for the s-trains and Regional-Express, the other is long distance trains for the Intercity (IC) and intercity express (ICE).

The German Railway Company cooperates with lots of airlines to provide Rail &Fly, the ticket can make traveler to enjoy the trip from the most of important cities to the Airport with good price, traveler should show the will to get the ticket when or even before booking the service from airline or travel agency.

Use the ticket to take the trains initial ICE,IC,EC with the aircraft before 24 hours of the take off from random train station in Germany without to the airport which is limited or 24 hours after landing to random train station in Germany

Frankfurt Airport is just like the Hongjiao Airport in Shanghai, it's a very big traffic joint combinates the airport and the train stations, but there are less people in Frankfurt Airport, the picture below is a panorama of the airport, there are two terminals, and there are connected by train.

The overview of routes, the picture below is the original picture of the picture above so that it's easy to compare with. The pictures below are the real experiences of the Frankfurt Airport and show the way from baggage claim to train stations.

At this point the friends to short distance trains is near to the station, the pictures below show the way to long distance trains.

From there is the part of long distance trains, there are not man or machine which check tickets at the train station in Germany, but you need to get ticket before you get on the train, if you need to get the ticket jiust before you get on the train please go to the travel center of German Railway(DB Reisezentrum) for help

There is always with only German in the screen of German Railway, though Frankfurt Airport is a international place, so it's important that you need to remember the name of place in German, if you have forgot that you can use wikipedia and klick "文A" to find the name. As the picture show, if I want to take the long distance train to Munich (München), then I need to see the big screen and the number of platform is the last number on the right side.

Then you can take the train to start the trip in Germany, wish you have a nice trip!
