Bunch means a lot of something. 

This word is mostly used in the US. If you go to the candy store and grab a lot of lollipops（棒棒糖）, then you are grabbing a bunch of lollipops! 

And remember a bunch of sugar can hurt your teeth so don't grab a bunch! 

This word is not so formal. So you wouldn't want to be at work like 'there's a bunch of things I have to do' to your boss. 

You could but it is not very formal. You would want to say this word around friends or family.
