Questioner: Sadhguru, I have a verydifficult question.For me,it’s a very difficult question.Generally powercorrupts everybody, including me,but I am now in a very special spiritual pathbecause I’m your devotee.I want to avoid power overruling me,making me corrupt,and… and I don’t want to be slave to that power,whatever power I’m having.Poweris entirely corrupting the whole world – you know it –but I don’t want to gettrapped in that crazy thing.Can you advise me, Sadhguru? whoeversaid that.People are corrupt.When they get empowered, it becomes super visible.When they’re somewhere, the microscope is not on them,so you don’t see it.Whenthey come to a positions of power,their corruptions finds volume，a different dimension of expression.Butsomeone who is not corrupt will not become corrupt because of this or that. universities.It’s likethis.When you’re a student, everybody is a communist.The moment you findemployment, you become a socialist, you know?The moment you get married, youbecome a capitalist.The moment you get children,you have become corrupt(Laughter).Because (Laughs) when your identification is with this body,you’realready corrupt,but it’s so small scale, nobody notices it.or everybody acceptsit,“Oh, it’s natural.”But when it becomes two, the corruption becomes littlebigger.People can see the conspiracy.Family is the first form of corruption.Yes.I’m not speaking against it, I’m just telling you.It is so.because suddenlywhat is ours and what is not ours becomes important.Then comes community,thencomes nation,then comes race,then comes religion – like this,different levelsof corruption. you’re identified with somethinglimited.Limited identity is corruption.The moment you’re identified with ‘whatis me’ and ‘what is mine,’youare corrupt… essentially corrupt.If you become thePrime Minister it will be visible to everybody.Every single act that you do hashuge impact on millions of people,so it is seen.Right now, between your righthand and left hand you made one superior, one inferior –in this state if youbecome a Prime Minister… (Gestures), isn’t it?This is superior hand (Gestures),thisis inferior hand (Gestures),you know.So in this state, how can you not becorrupt?You’re corrupt;with empowerment it becomes more and more visible.Thatis why we are aiming at the powerful and the people who are in positions ofresponsibility and power,because if you at least make their identity littlelarger. is full of corruption –one against the other allthe time, isn’t it?‘What is mine should do well, what is yours should die’ –thisis corruption, isn’t it?So it is not that power corrupts.I don’t know who saidthat.People are corrupt.With power, corruption finds expression.With power,everything finds expression.If you’re intelligent,your intelligence will findexpression.If you’re loving, if you become powerful,your love will findexpression.If you’re corrupt, your corruption will find expression.Withoutchanging the basic quality of who you are,you want to fix the outside –no. 请看，假若你把身份认同定为'自己'，你就会剥削你身边的那个人。假若你把身份认同定为'你的小区，你就会牺牲别的小区的利益而去做对你小区好的事。假若你把身份认同定为'国家'，你会牺牲另一国的利益去为你的国家做好事。是不是？但那不被视为腐败，但它其实就是腐败。整个世界充斥着腐败，彼此经常对立着，不是吗?属于我的就应该好好的，属于你的就该灭亡？这是腐败，不是吗？所以不是权力使人腐败。我不知道谁说的，人是腐败的。有了权力，腐败就找到表达的方法。有了权力，所有事情都会找到表达的方法。如果你有智慧，你的智慧会找到表达的方法。如果你充满着爱，而你变得有权力，你的爱会找到它的表达方式。如果你腐败，你的腐败会找到它的表达。不去改变你的本质，你却想要解决外在？不可能！ There is a tree which produces flowers,thereis a tree which produces thorns.the more you empower both of them,one willproduce more flowers,another will produce more thorns.So let’s fix the… ourpedigree first properly.If you fix the… your pedigree first from where you’recoming. Have you come from your biological identity or are you… have you?do youwant to live here with your divine identity?That’s the choice you have.Ifyou’re identified with the biology of who you are,you will be anyway corrupt.Howcan you not be?Because biology is a limited process.If you’re identified withthis, everything outside will be outside.If you’re identified with the Divine,whenyou say, ‘I’m a devotee’, that’s what it means,that ‘I have dissolved all mylimited identities and my identity is with only one thing.’If it is so,youshould become the Prime Minister of the world and it’ll be great;world will befine.Not one’s well-being at the cost of another well-being as it can be forall life on this planet,that’s when you’re not corrupt, isn’t it? 有一棵树会种出花朵，有一棵树会种出荆棘，你越是给它们力量。一棵会种出更多花朵，另一棵会种出更多荆棘，所以先让我们好好解决我们的出身。如果你先解决你的出身，那个你来自的地方。你是来自于你的生理身份吗？还是你⋯有没有。你想不想以你神性的身份活着？那是你有的选择，如果你认同于你的生理身份，你如何都会是腐败的，你怎么可以不腐败？因为生理只个有限的过程，如果你的身分认同限于此，所有身体外面的会属于「外在」。如果你认同于神性，当你说奉爱者，就是这个意思。就是我消融了我所有带有限制的身份认同，我的身份就认同于一样东西。如果是这样你应该成为世界的首相，然后一切会很好，世界会很好。没有一个人的福祉是基于牺牲另一个人的福祉，地球上所有生命都有享有福祉，那时候你就不是腐败，不是吗?
