动词短语是由动词和介词、副词、名词等构成的，在句中作谓语。

333.turn over翻动，翻转

用法：turn over的主语可以是人，也可以是物。

例句：They are deprived of chances to turn over a new leaf. (2015年12月四级)

他们没有洗心革面的机会了。

结构分析：They是主语，are deprived of（被剥夺）是谓语，chances to turn over a new leaf是宾语，其中toturn over a new leaf是不定式词组作后置定语。(2015年12月四级)

334.wander off漫步，漫游

用法：wander off是不及物动词词组，其后可以跟介词引导的地点状语。

例句：The girl still remembered that her mother had always wandered off in the yard.

那个女孩还记得她妈妈总是在院子里散步。

335.warm up热身，变暖

用法：warm up一般不接宾语。

例句：It’s so cold; he drank a lot of hot water to warm up.

太冷了，他喝了很多热水暖和自己。

336.wash out冲洗干净，筋疲力尽

用法：wash out的宾语一般位于out之后。

例句：The doctor warned that the wound must be washed out for a bandage.

医生告诫说，伤口必须冲洗干净才能包扎。
