今年两会，中国日报联合全球25家媒体开展的在线调查发现，中国的外交政策是全球网民最关注的话题。

在今天的两会特别报道《全球关注 中国解答》视频系列里，中国日报记者专访了外交部原副部长、国务院侨办原副主任何亚非，请他解读当今世界面临着什么样的挑战，以及中国在应对这些挑战中扮演着什么样的角色。

In today's episode of China Daily's “two sessions” coverage, we talk about China's foreign policy with He Yafei, former vice-minister of foreign affairs and former deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. We asked him what kind of challenges the world is facing today, and what China’s role is in dealing with those challenges.

在何亚非看来，目前国际形势充满不确定性，世界面临的挑战主要来自于经济增长日益疲软（growing weakness in growth），许多国家内部社会分歧的加深（a deepening divide within societies），以及大国竞争日益激烈（increasingly intense rivalry among major powers）。

面对这些挑战，中国秉持着和平、发展、合作的理念，提出“中国方案”。

How can we make the transition of global order a smooth one with less trouble, with less confrontation. That has been the focus of China's foreign policy.
如何实现全球秩序平稳过渡，少麻烦，少对抗，这一直是中国外交政策的焦点。

We believe without relative global peace, there's no chance for the world economy to grow continuously. So we are all in this together.
因为我们相信没有相对的全球和平，世界经济不可能持续增长。所以我们患难与共。

We need to move forward with a clear objective that is to maintain long-term peace, to create better economic opportunities and promote economic prosperity for everyone.
我们需要朝着一个明确的目标前进，那就是维持长期和平，创造更好的经济机会，促进各国经济繁荣。

At the same time we should try our best to, if not eliminate, at least reduce inequality, reduce the gap between the rich and poor, so people can have a better sense of safety for their future.
同时，我们应该尽最大努力，如果不能消除，至少要减少不平等，缩小贫富差距，这样人们就能对未来有更强的安全感。
