Welcome to another MidnightDreary Project. However, the credit for this programmer is due to Jens Madsen. This programmer is the probably the most versatile utility that most of you will find if you're in to this sort of thing. Anyway, here are the schematics and some tips that I picked up when I built mine. Here is a nice list of parts that you will need and their equivalents. PARTS LIST
After you have completed the construction of this programmer you will need to find chips to program. The following chips can be programmed with this device.
Note that this programmer is meant to be run off of your serial port; so if you have the 9 pin serial port convert the outgoing wires as follows: 25 pin serial port to 9 pin serial port 2 to 3 7 to 5 5 to 8 20 to 4 4 to 7 This should get you going on this programmer. If you want more information on this project, simply click on the hyperlink to get to Dave's page (Dave has nice page about programming chips). Keep in mind this is the work of Jens Madsen and NOT MidnightDreary. Send him a nice e-mail if you want. |
