梵高|早期那些笨拙的油画

Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) was a Dutch post-impressionist painter. His masterpieces include starry night, self-portrait series, sunflower series, etc. Van gogh was born on March 30, 1853, into a family of protestant pastors in the Dutch countryside of zideldt. In his early years, van gogh worked as a clerk and broker in a business. He was also a missionary in a mining area. His early painting style was realistic, which was influenced by traditional Dutch painting and French realistic painting. In 1886, he came to Paris, got acquainted with impressionist and new impressionist painters, and came into contact with Japanese ukiyo-e paintings. The expansion of his vision made his painting style change dramatically. His paintings began to become simple, bright and strong colors from the dull and dim early days. In 1888, he came to arles, a small town in the south of France. He had got rid of the influence of impressionism and the new impressionism and went against it. In the same year, he communicated with gauguin, but due to the conflict of characters and the difference of ideas, the cooperation soon failed. Van gogh continued to paint when he was conscious. In July 1890, he shot himself in his insanity. He was only 37 years old.

Van gogh's works are full of natural compassion and sense of suffering. For example, in the early days of van gogh's art career, the most common subjects of his paintings were the grim scenes in the mines and the working miners. In the eddon period, the rolling of the sunset and the farmers and women in the sun appeared more in his works. By the time of dorent and the Hague, van gogh's works began to feature crying women, old trees with two feet and orphans, old horses driving, farmers working and so on. Van gogh was very enthusiastic about farmers, field life and rural scenery. He loved everything about farmers, especially sunflower, wheat field, warbler's tail flower and pea flower. He often chose these objects with the fragrance of soil as the subject matter of his paintings. In his short artistic career, van gogh, with his keen artistic perception, affectionately and meticulously depicted these simple and natural landscapes, still objects and figures, so he was known as 'the purest painter among painters'. Compared with those gorgeous and brilliant paintings, van gogh's paintings are more simple and meaningful. He poured his infinite passion into these simple flowers and field life, which created an artistic magic that cannot be surpassed or imitated.
