Treatment Methods While in Home Quarantine

Quarantine is the best way to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. To cooperate with the national epidemic treatment program, more people are in home quarantine and may start to feel unwell more or less. Home is not a drug store or a hospital, so how to take good care of family members becomes a big issue.

隔离是控制传播的最佳方法,积极配合国家的疫情治疗方案,隔离在家的人多了,大家会或多或少感到身体不适,家里不是药铺,也不是医院,如何处理好家人的身体不适,是个大问题!

A kitchen can be a pharmacy! Many small problems can be solved by making wise use of a kitchen! Let’s share some experience in food remedy! 

其实厨房就是药房!将厨房用好了,就可以化解很多小问题!下面分享一些食疗经验!

Ingredients:

White radish, Chinese cabbage, kelp, scallion, garlic, pepper, white pepper, Chinese cinnamon, fresh ginger, Chinese dates, sesame, sesame oil, lard, salt, sugar, thirteen-spices~~

By making good use of the above ingredients, most of the common symptoms can be handled! 

食材: 

白萝卜,大白菜,海带,大葱,大蒜,花椒,白胡椒,桂皮,生姜,大枣,芝麻,芝麻油,猪油,盐,糖,十三香~~

能用好上面这些食材和调味品,就可以处理好绝大多数常见症状!

White Radish 

Promote digestion, regulate Qi, and resolve phlegm. 

Boiled white radish with fresh ginger and brown sugar is good for most cough. In sticky phlegm, you can add radish; in aversion to cold, you can add more ginger; in fatigue, you can add sugar!

白萝卜

能消食,能顺气,能化痰!

用白萝卜加生姜加红糖,对大部分咳嗽都有好处,痰粘加萝卜,怕冷加姜,乏力加糖!

Chinese Cabbage 

Clear heat and relieve toxicity, lower the phase of ministerial fire, purge the bowels, and remove old and hardened feces from the bowels.

Add boiled flower of cabbage into water and taking it can help reduce fever! Taking more leafstalk benefit those with Yin deficiency and constipation.

大白菜 

能清热解毒,降相火,通大便,宿便!

发热可以用白菜心煮水喝!阴虚,便秘,多吃大白菜帮子!

Kelp

It’s also the Chinese medicine Kelp(Kun Bu昆布), which resolves phlegm, softens nodes, and relieves edema. People with stagnation of phlegm and dampness and blocked triple energizers get benefit from eating more of it. 

海带 

就是中药材昆布,能化痰散结,消肿,凡体内痰湿郁积,三焦不通,都可以多吃点!

Scallion

Induce sweating, relieve exterior, activate Yang, and clear the triple energizers.

A simple mix of fresh ginger, Chinese dates, and scallion, can harmonize Yin and Yang, clear the triple energizers, and prevent and treat many diseases.   

If you catch a cold or have a fever, boil these three food ingredients, drink with commonly used medicine for cold or fever, and that will take a very good effect! 

大葱 

能发汗解表,能通阳气,通三焦

生姜大枣和葱,三样就能调和阴阳,疏通三焦,预防和治疗很多疾病!

如果感冒发热,用三样煮水喝,随便配点感冒退烧药,都可以起到很好的疗效! 

Garlic 

Good for cough of lung-cold type, dry cough, and those with watery and slippery tongue coating. You can make tea with mashed garlic! Adding boiled garlic into water and taking it will have a quick effect on cold cough!

大蒜

对于肺里有寒的咳嗽,干咳,水滑苔,疗效很好,拍碎,泡水喝,就可以!也可以煮熟了,吃蒜喝汤,寒性咳嗽,用了就有效!

Prickly Ash Peel(Hua Jiao 花椒)

Stimulate the appetite and expel cold. People with a sore throat should take less of it! 

花椒

能开胃,能散寒,咽喉肿痛少吃!

White Pepper 

Warm the middle energizer, direct Qi downward, stimulate the appetite, and eliminate phlegm. Especially good for those with cold-phlegm in body and eat or drink cold! 

白胡椒

能温中下气,开胃,消痰,对体内有寒痰冷饮者,可以放心使用!

Chinese Cinnamon 

Also known as Cassia Bark(Rou Gui肉桂) in Chinese medicine, which reinforces the Mingmen fire. Good for people with cold lower extremity or having intolerance of cold. It is a close type to Lateralis Preparata, and reinforces and holds fire!

桂皮

就是中药材肉桂,能补命门之火,凡下肢冰凉,畏寒,都可以使用,相当于附子,而且补火而能守!

Sesame and Sesame Oil

Nourish Yin and moisten dryness. As for dry cough caused by Yin deficiency, taking a couple of tablespoons of sesame oil can relieve the symptoms right away! They are good for those with cracked tongue, constipation due to Yin deficiency, fluid shortage in the large intestine, and sticky stools! Its efficacy of nourishing Yin is comparable with Prepared Rehmannia Root! 

芝麻和芝麻油 

能滋阴润躁,阴虚燥咳,喝几勺芝麻油,可立即缓解!舌苔裂纹,阴虚便秘,肠道缺水,大便粘滞,都可以使用!其补阴作用,可代替熟地!

Lard

Clear the triple energizers, nourish Yin, and moisture dryness. In situations of invasion of Moyuan by pathogens, or obstructed triple energizers, a little lard can be added as a guiding element (in helping guiding other elements to their proper treatment places), which in turn enhances the effect! 

猪油 

通三焦,养阴,润燥!邪伏膜原,三焦不畅,少少猪油为引,可增加疗效!

Thirteen spices

A mix or powder mixture of thirteen spices: Round Cardamon Fruit(Bai Dou Kou白豆蔻), Amomi Fructus(Sha Ren砂仁), Nutmeg(Rou Kou肉蔻), Cassia Bark(Rou Gui肉桂), Clove(Ding Xiang丁香), Prickly Ash Peel(Hua Jiao花椒), Star Anise(Ba Jiao Hui Xiang八角茴香), Fennel(Xiao Hui Xiang小茴香), Common Aucklandia Root(Mu Xiang木香), Dahurian Angelica Root(Bai Zhi白芷), Kaempferia Galanga(San Nai三奈), Lesser Galangal Rhizome(Liang Jiang良姜), and Zingiber Dried Ginger(Gan Jiang干姜). 

These are dietetic Chinese herbs that regulate on the Qi level, which warm Yang to transform Qi, promote Qi flow to remove depression, and send up the clear and send down the turbid! They work better combined with some Yin nourishing herbs! 

十三香  

紫叩、砂仁、肉蔻、肉桂、丁香、花椒、大料、小茴香、木香、白芷、三奈、良姜、干姜。成分都是药食两用药材,温阳化气,行气散郁,升清降浊,从气的层面调理!配上养阴药物,则妙不可言!
