模仿朗读策略【三】——语调

说话时一句话里会有声调高低轻重的变化，这就是语调。在说话的时候使用不同的语调，能够表达肯定、怀疑、激动、感叹等众多感情的变化。在英语中，常用的语调如下：

1.降调：

降调一般用于陈述句、特殊疑问句、祈使句、感叹句中。如：

I will go to Hong Kong tomorrow↘.

What did you do in the summer holiday↘?

Pleaase close the door↘.

What a nice day today↘!

2.升调：

升调一般用于一般疑问句中。如：

Is the boy your brother↗？

3.升降调：

升降调即语调先升后降，一般用于选择疑问句、列举并列举并列成分、从句在前主句在后的复合句中。如：

Which do you prefer，the banana↗or the apple↘?

There are some books↗，a ruler↗，there pens↗，five pencils↗and an eraser↘in the bag.

If l feel happy↗，l will sing a song↘.

4.降升调：

降升调即语调先降后，一般用于反义疑问句中。如：

He likes swimming↘，doesn’t he↗?

在日常交流中，英语句子的语调除了以上几项之外，还是千变万化的。同样的句子，语调不同，意思就会不同。我们要在平时多积累、多感悟，学会运用语调来表达自己，以及通过说话者的语调去体会其意思。
