Lisa's Cold

Last night Lisa came home later than usual.  

It was raining and she didn't have her umbrella.

When she got home, she was cold and wet.

She was tired, and she didn't feel well.

She got out of her wet clothes and went to bed. 

She just wanted to sleep.

This morning she woke up with a bad cold.

She had a headache and a sore throat.

Her mother took her temperature.

Her  temperature was 39 degrees, so she had a fever !

Her mother told her to stay in bed. 

Lisa's sore throat hurt a lot, so her mother called the doctor. 

She made an appointment for 11:00.

Lisa got out of bed at 10:00 and got dressed.

At 10:15 they left their apartment.  

It was still raining, so they took a taxi.

They got to the doctor's office at 10:45.

Her mother gave Lisa's name to the receptionist. 

Then they sat in the waiting room. 

They waited for 10 minutes.  

Then a nurse came and took Lisa into another room.

The nurse weighed Lisa and took her temperature.

Then Lisa waited for the doctor.

When the doctor came, he looked down her throat.

He listened to her heartbeat.   

Then he gave her a shot.

The shot hurt a little, but Lisa didn't mind. 

She wanted it to help her feel better.

After leaving the doctor's office, they went to a pharmacy.

Her mother bought some medicine.

Then they took a taxi home.

For the rest of the day, Lisa stayed in bed.

She took some medicine and drank a lot of liquids.   

She slept for a couple of hours.

Then she listened to some music.

By 6:00 she was feeling much better.  

Now she's thinking about tomorrow.

She's looking forward to going to school.

She doesn't want to stay home again.

But she may have to stay home.

She can't return to school until her cold is gone.

She doesn't want her friends to catch her cold. 

昨晚丽莎回家比平时晚。

下雨天，她没带伞。

当她到家时，她又冷又湿。

她累了，感觉不舒服。

她脱下湿衣服上床睡觉。

她只是想睡觉。

今天早上她醒来时患了重感冒。

她头痛，喉咙痛。

她母亲量了她的体温。

她的体温是39度，所以她发烧了!

她妈妈叫她呆在床上。

丽莎的喉咙痛得很厉害，所以她妈妈打电话给医生。

她约了11点。

莉莎十点起床，穿好衣服。

10点15分，他们离开了公寓。

雨还在下，所以他们坐了一辆出租车。

他们10点45分到达医生的办公室。

她妈妈把丽莎的名字告诉了接待员。

然后他们坐在候诊室里。

他们等了10分钟。

然后一个护士来了，把丽莎带到另一个房间。

护士称了丽莎的体重并量了她的体温。

然后丽莎等着医生。

医生来了，他检查了她的喉咙。

他听着她的心跳。

然后他给她打了一针。

打针有点疼，但丽莎不介意。

她希望这能让她感觉好一点。

离开医生的办公室后，他们去了药店。

她妈妈买了一些药。

然后他们乘出租车回家。

今天剩下的时间里，丽莎一直躺在床上。

她吃了一些药，喝了很多水。

她睡了几个小时。

然后她听了一些音乐。

6点时她感觉好多了。

现在她在想明天的事。

她盼望着去上学。

她不想再呆在家里了。

但她可能不得不呆在家里。

直到感冒好了，她才能回到学校。

 她不想让她的朋友们感染她的感冒。
