西蒙·武埃在艺术上受意大利的教养当然更加深厚，
而在色彩与素描上对他影响最深的还是卡拉瓦乔的作品。
后来他又倾注于对威尼斯的光色表现的研究，
最终形成为他的法国巴洛克画风。
